I couldn't move.
It was like I was sleeping but I was awake. Like I was there but I wasn't. The last thing I remember was the hole in the door.
Wait, am I dead? Am I remembering the last thing I saw before I died?
No, no. I'm definitely not dead.
I was in a dark room with nothing but the chair I was on, a table, and a spotlight shining down on me. I didn't see anyone else here. Was I alone? Did they take the others?
Someone came through a door that perfectly blended into the wall, since it had no doorknob.
"Hello?" I called. The person who just came in stepped out of the shadows. The person probably wasn't even a human. He looked like Stuart because of the viking hat and hair so messy and wild that you can barely see their eyes. This guy looked like an actual tall viking. The only thing that made me doubt he's a human is his size. He was at least 8ft tall. That's like, the same height as the tallest person in the world! Or, so we thought.
Finally he spoke.
"Where's the psychic?" He demanded, holding up an image of. . . an eye? It looked so familiar, but I couldn't remember where I've seen it before.
"I don't know." I admitted.
He took the image and ripped it to pieces. That was probably the most violent thing I've ever seen.
"Listen here, kid. If you lie, I will reduce you to nothingness. Just like I did with that paper." He sneered.
I believed that he'd do it. Yet I wasn't scared. Maybe because I was telling the truth, or maybe because of the infinity sign on my shirt. No one really knows what it means, but I'm okay with that. It makes me feel important, like a main character in a fantasy book series. The viking tapped his foot impatiently and sat down on a black couch. He was gonna be here for a while.
I skimmed my memory, trying to remember where I saw that eye.
Then it hit me.
Literally.
The tall viking person threw a 3d model of the eye symbol at my head.
I have no idea why he thinks that giving me a concussion would help me remember what I know about the eye.
I reached to pick it up from the floor, then I realized that my hands were tied up. So that's why I couldn't move. The viking pushed a button on the wall that I didn't even know was there because it, yet again, camouflaged itself.
What is up with vikings and camouflaging? I wouldn't be surprised if there were 10 other vikings in the room who I didn't see because they were camouflaging too.The button revealed a ton of pictures of the eye in different versions, one of them was embedded on the cover of a spell book, another was a realism painting, and there was even an emoji version. Seems like these people are desperate but have gotten nowhere so far.
So how did they trace all this back to me and my friends?I realized that the pictures weren't the only thing that the button made visible. I saw a space in the corner of the room that looked like a science lab and some blood vials.
Now I'm freaking out. Blood vials? Where did they get the blood?
Now seems like a good time for me to pop in.
No, it's really not!
I think you have forgotten that people take blood samples like those at hospitals.
Oh, right.
They most likely took your blood to test it.
Can I still get it back?
Well, you can get the vial if they still have it. Or, you could destroy it. Which would be much more preferred.
What exactly can they do with my blood?
It could be used against you in the worst possible ways.
Okay, don't tell me anything more. I don't want to know.
I don't have time to make a plan. Which means I'll have to wing it.
Eh, it's better than dying.
