The beautiful scenery, the sounds of children playing happily, the warmth and familiarity of this place, immediately tells me that I'm dreaming.

But it feels so real, more of a vision than a dream.

I see 12-year-old Nicole walking over to a tent, our mom's meeting tent.

I follow her inside the tent, and saw mom with one of the scientists.

She's not normal. And they want her. The scientist said.

Mom crossed her arms. If they want Nicole, then they have to go through us first.

The scientist sighed. Her future is unclear. It is likely she won't survive.

Nicole came into the tent. What do you mean I won't survive?

Mom turned around with a panicked look on her face. Nicole! You shouldn't be here.

What do you mean I won't survive?!? She urged.

It was just a worst case scenario, but don't worry, it's highly unlikely. Mom reassured her.

By the expression on Nicole's face I can tell that she didn't really believe it but decided to let it go for now.

Suddenly, my vision shifts.

Now it was less of a vision, and more of a flashback.

I'm 12 years old again, and Nicole and I were sitting in one of the safe bunkers, the place where we met Atlas for the first time.

Oh no, I can't relive this again.

Nicole paced back and forth. Ugh, where's Mom and Atlantis? They said they'd be back in less than 10 minutes and it's been like, an hour!

Stop pacing! I scolded. They said they'd be back soon, so don't worry.

Then Atlas entered the room.

Mom and Atlantis, are they okay? She asked.

Atlas slowly shook his head. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I watched the light in my sister's eyes dim.

I don't get to see what Atlas says next, the world starts spinning and everything melts into darkness.

I jolt awake.

I don't remember where I am or who is standing above me.

It takes a few seconds for me to regain my senses.

Standing above me is Astrid, removing the towel from my head.

She realizes that I'm awake and backs away a few steps.

"Oh, You're awake."

I don't think she even tried to hide the disappointment in her voice.

"You sound disappointed."

"I didn't exactly miss your annoying face, but you don't look that bad when you're sleeping."

I smirked. "I'll take the compliment."

"But, um, do you remember why you're here?" Astrid asks.

The smile on my face fades as I remember what happened.

The door breaks, and a big Viking with a beard enters.
"Oooh, boss is gon' be real happy bout' this"

The Viking walks toward Nicole and holds up a photo of her that looks like it was taken years ago.
"This is you? Ain't it?"

She nods.

"Where is my sister?" I ask Astrid.

"So you don't remember?"

"Answer the question, Astrid."

She sighs. "Nicole was taken."
