"We have arrived"
"Are you sure?" Connor asks.
"What.. Of course I'm sure!" the blue dwarf replies.
"Hmm.. last time we got pushed off a building cuz you were wrong" I remind him.
"I said I'm sure-"
The dwarf stops mid-sentence when he sees a green nature looking dwarf, it was taller than the blue one, but don't get me wrong it wasn't tall either, it was about 3 feet tall.
"Oh! Professor Evergreen!" The dwarf exclaims as he shoved us in the elevator.
The Evergreen guy nods at us. "I see you found the new recruits"
"New recruits? No way, we gotta go back home Atlas is probably waiting for us" I say.
Someone runs up to us, and I'm shocked to see that it's Atlas.
"Nicole! Connor! You're here!" Atlas beams.
By the way, Atlas was waaay taller, he's about 7'3 and he has a really big beard you can't see his face, we always asked him if he was Santa Claus but he always denied it.
He's also very loud when he gets excited so everyone turns to look at us.
"Uh, hi?" Connor mutters.
The people quickly forgot about us as they turned to look at 2 blondes going up on stage, a boy and a girl. I think they're twins because they look really similar and are probably the same age.
I notice that they both have those tiny microphone things attached to their face, so they're probably important.
"Hi Everyone! Today we have two new recruits!" The girl announces.
And now everyone is looking at us, again. For some reason, I'm not getting good vibes from the kids on stage, they seem about my age, (15 btw) but something about them is off.
The guy scans the crowd, and his gaze lands on us. "Why don't you come up to the stage guys?"
"Hard pass." I answer. But Connor considers it.
"Oka-"
Before he answers, I elbow him hard in the stomach.
"OW- Nevermind, '' he says, rubbing his stomach.
"Anyways, as most of you know I'm Alexia" The girl says, pointing to herself.
"And I'm Alexander" The guy beside her says.
Alexia taps her mic. "So, for today's announceme-"
"Thank you Alexia and Alexander Hargrove, you may now go back to your tables." Professor Evergreen says, he turns to look at the blue dwarf. "Stuart, you may guide them to their rooms."
"What?! Can't they just go with Atlas?" the blue dwarf complains.
"For once I agree with the dwarf" I say.
We met Atlas a long long looooong time ago (about 4 years ago). I forgot how we even met him, but he saved our lives sooo many times from robbers and kidnappers (Connor left the front door open, you sure it wasn't you? Wha- uh no! Well okay maybe one time..) "I have an idea! Since you have to get to know the people here, why don't you join Christi and Alex?" Atlas suggested "Who is Christi?" Connor asked. "Probably the people walking toward us right now" I answered. "Hi! You must be new, want us to show you around?" The blonde girl asked.
