Confessions

Sorry. This is probably gonna be a short chapter.

You may have escaped my father, but you will not escape my grasp, Haley. Be aware that I am still alive.

It was the same voice I have heard for three nights straight. I could hear my name being called again like the last time, but the voice wasn't my fathers.

"Haley? Wake up." My eye shot open as I started to cry. I buried my face in my hands and cuddled my face into my pillow. Someone wrapped their arm around me and pulled me closer to their chest.

"Haley? Are you okay?" I noticed the voice was LJ's. I shifted until I was facing him, buried my face in his chest and began to sob even more.

"Are you okay?" He asked me while embracing me tighter. I was getting tired of that voice; it scared me. I don't know what it means or what it's going to do next. I leaned in closer to LJ as he whispered in my ear:

"Shh. It's okay. I'm here." I was then blushing furiously as I cried into his chest. Soon I started to calm down and loosened my grip on LJ. I sat up and he reluctantly let go. Then everything clicked.

"Quid hic agis?" I said, panicking while turning to him. He looked at me confusingly, then laughed a little and blushed.

"That language is cute for you! Ha, ha!" I blushed and soon laughed with him, all trace of sadness had disappeared. A couple of minutes of laughter later, we heard a knock on my door. We stopped laughing and looked at the door while father stepped into the room with a big smile on his face.

"Hi honey! Are you feeling okay?" He said to me, "I heard a lot of noise." As he said that, he glared at Jack. That wiped the smile off of Jack's face as he cowered back. I giggled and nodded at him. He nodded sternly, then his smile returned to his face.

"Okay just making sure! You want anything to eat?" He asked me, suddenly more concerned for me than Jack. When I heard the word eat, my stomach started to growl. My father looked at me and laughed.

"I'm guessing that is a yes! I'll be right back~" He then looked at Jack and put two fingers up to his eyes, then pointed them towards Jack with a scowl. His smile then returned to his face as he turned to me, nodded, and left, making sure to close the door behind him. I looked at Jack to see he was cowering in the corner, scared. I laughed when I met his eyes. I made my hands turn into a heart shape and pointed to where my father was standing. Jack looked at me with shock and leapt to his feet

Of course you love him! He's your dad! He scares me!" He said before cowering back in the corner. I laughed even harder at him.

He made an angry face. "Don't laugh at me!" Soon, after realizing what he was doing, Jack started to laugh with me. A couple minutes of laughter later, instead of a knock, we heard a pound on the door.

"Keep it down in there! I don't care about your sexy times! I'm trying to sleep!" Jeff said through the door. We then stopped laughing altogether and looked at each other, furiously blushing.

"Uh. . . . I think I'll leave before anyone else gets the wrong idea. See ya at breakfast Haley!" He said before leaving while I waved after him. After he left, I went to my wardrobe and pulled out some new clothes. I locked my door and shut my curtains before taking off my clothes and putting on new ones. While waiting for father, I walked over to my vanity and sat down. I decided to change things up a little. I grabbed my straightener and straightened my hair instead of just leaving it wavy. I just grabbed my eyeliner and my mascara, put them both on and examined myself in the mirror. I looked prettier like this; I was going to start this new look. I got up and unlocked my door and tied back my curtains again, looking out my window to the back yard dotted with trees. Before me I could see Jeff playing fetch with Smile. I grinned at them as Smile barks and Jeff laughs. The evening sun highlighted the stick Jeff was throwing for Smile. As I was watching them happily, I heard a knock on my door.

"Darling?" It was Uncle Trender. "Breakfast is almost ready. Come on down."

"Okay." I called back. I opened the door and closed it after me. Uncle Trender stood there, shocked. I looked at him confusingly.

"What are you staring at?" I said. Then it clicked. I spoke English!

"Yes! Finally I can talk normally!" I looked over at Uncle Trender, who was still standing there shocked. Then he spoke.

"Haley. . . . That outfit is amazing with that makeup~!" He said. I laughed at him.

"Thank you." Then I started walking to the kitchen, Uncle Trender not far behind. I walked down the stairs and across the living room floor and through the doorway. Everyone was chatting but when I stepped through the door, everyone stopped to look at me. I looked side to side awkwardly.

"What?" I asked, getting frustrated. LJ was the first to speak up.

"You look. . . . amazing!" His face was flushed and his eyes were wide open.

"All I did was change some things. That's it." I explained, looking at him.

"Uh. . . . LJ has something he wants to ask you." BEN said, surprisingly putting his game on pause. After he said that, everyone got up and left. Jeff was the last one out because when he got up from his chair, he lightly punched LJ on the arm; as if he was encouraging him. LJ gulped and came over and stood in front of me. I looked up at him and waited to see what he wanted. He took a deep breath.

"H-Haley. . . . I l. . . .love you. I always have. Ever since I have laid my eyes on you. You have been on my mind every day and night. So, w-will you be m-mine?" He said with a small smile. I looked at him, shocked. Soon, his smile faded and tears welled in his eyes.

"Oh. I-I see. You love someone else. I-I understand. Well, I-I hope we can still be friends." He said, turning away from me. I snapped out of my shock, grabbed his wrist, turned him towards me and kissed him. After a couple minutes, we pulled apart and I looked into his silver eyes. We were blushing furiously and smiling like idiots while I hugged him. He immediately hugged me back, sighing.

"What's the matter?" I asked him. He pulled away with his hands still on my waist.

"You don't know how hard that was. I was afraid you would reject me." He said, hugging me again. I giggled at him and kissed his cheek while he was blushing. He held my hand as we walked back into the living room. Everyone stopped what they were doing originally and turned to us. Clockwork, a new girl we got yesterday, pulled me to one couch and Jeff pulled Jack to the other where some of the guys were at.

"So?" She asked, leaning closer. I stared at her.

"So. . . what?"

"So. . . How did he ask you?" She asked. I blushed and smiled slightly while looking down.

"It was adorable. He was blushing." I said giggling. Clock looked at me and smiled.

"Congrats girl. Any guy would be lucky to have you." I blushed at her compliment.

"Thanks Clocky." I said.

"No problem. You want anything from the kitchen?" She asked me while getting up from her place on the couch.

I shook my head. "No. But thanks anyways." She nodded and disappeared into the kitchen. Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming towards me. I looked up and seen LJ. I smiled up at him as he sat beside me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I leaned against him with my hand on his chest, feeling his heart beat. I snuggled ( :3 ) closer to LJ, smelling the candy on his clothes while he held me tighter and kissed the top of my head. In a  couple of hours of watching BEN and Jeff play Black Ops, I became tired. I looked up at LJ with tired eyes. He chuckled and picked me up bridal style before going up the stairs and into my room. He entered the room and gently layed (? Sorry. I can't English today.) me on the bed. He shut the door and layed down, embracing me. He covered us with a blanket and kissed my forehead. The one sentence that I heard from him before falling asleep was something that caused me to have the best night of my life.
