Earth's secret

Earth's POV

It was around midnight. I got up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and that's when it all showed. All the burnt marks, the dark clouds, the oil leaking from my eyes.. All of it. I sighed. The others didn't know how bad it had gotten. My wings, which were once angelic and beautiful, had turned grey like fallen angels.

"Earth....?" I heard a voice whisper behind me. I turned around to see V. She looked worried. Very worried. "It has gotten worse...." She whispered. I opened my mouth to try and comfort her but she ran and hugged me tight. I hugged the girl back.

"Hey I'll be fine...A planet can't die from human causes.." I tried reassuring her. I knew she didn't buy it. "Earth... We are hurting you..." She said, I looked down at her.

"No.. V you guys are trying to find ways to help but.. You just don't know how yet" She nodded slowly. I took her back to her room.

She didn't let me go so I sat in the bed and laid her head on my shoulder. I stroked her gently and hummed a soft tune. V fell asleep in a matter of minutes. I hid all the bruises and signs and tucked V in bed before going to my room.

I laid in bed staring at the ceiling. I couldn't really sleep. I started coughing badly. Soon, I coughed out ink. I tried reaching for my meds but my hand wouldn't move. I coughed violently and soon stopped. Everything started turning into a blur and then...black

~ The next morning ~

Jupiter's POV

I went and woke up everyone like I did everyday. Pluto was already up. I noticed V and Earth weren't up. V was understandable but Earth.. "That's odd.. Earth is normally one of the first to get up" Uranus noted. I nodded and went over to Earth's room.

When I tried opening the door I found out it was locked. I knocked on the door calling for Earth but there was no response. I knocked again. Still nothing. I started getting worried so I bangged my shoulder on the door forcing it to open. What I saw shocked me...

Saturn's POV

"EARTH!?!?!" We all looked up to Jupiter's voice. There was a very clear tone of worry in it. Sun got up and ran to see what was wrong and we followed him.

"Jupiter what is-" Sun started as we
approached. He stopped as soon as he looked into Earth's room. I looked in her room as well. Shock and worry took over my body.

Earth was laying in her bed with what looked like ink slowly dripping from her mouth. Her halo and wings were a dark-ish grey and there were smoke clouds all around her head. Black oil was trickling from her closed eyes.

We immediately got her to the living room and laid her on the couch. Just then V came from her sleep. As soon as she saw Earth, her eyes widened. "What the..." She muttered. V quickly ran over to her side.

"V.. Can you help her?" Jupiter asked. V opened her hands and a yellow light emanated from them. The yellow light surrounded Earth and the ink disappeared. "I couldn't do much but she should be fine.." She said,

"I didn't know it had gotten this bad.." Venus said. She looked away upset. V hugged her trying to comfort her. "She had been hiding it from you all..." V muttered.
