Our friendship

Shadow's POV

I sat on bed while V took a shower. She finished up and came back into the room after changing. "Well, it looks like you're not leaving me alone," She said while rolling her eyes.

V and I have an.. interesting friendship to say the least. I would flirt with her jokingly but she'd just play along. "Remember when Queen Estra asked if we were dating as well as Astral and Kali?" I asked, almost laughing. She laughed as well. "How can I not!?" She said,

She sat on the bed and leaned backwards. "I wonder who broke Cyrus out-" I cut her off with a hug. "Don't worry about that right now, V. I'll figure that out. You just relax" I whispered to her. V smiled and hugged back.

"V, Shadow, time for lunch!" We broke apart as Jupiter startled us. He opened the door and faced us. "Jupiter! Knock before you enter please!" V scolded the giant planet. He laughed and nodded.

"Come on Earth made pizza. Pepperoni pizza to be exact," he said. V and I got up and went outside with the gas giant and waited in the living room for the food.

We all ate our food and even Astral and Kali joined us. The planets, minus Neptune, even made remarks on how "cute of a couple we 4 are" which made Astral, Kali and I fluster. V simply glared at them and they didn't even mention that topic again. I could tell she was blushing slightly though.

When we went back to V's room, she turned on the light which made me hiss in pain. I quickly ducked underneath the bed. She noticed this and dimmed the lights to the point I could come out. I was still afraid to come out, which made me feel pathetic.

V kneeled in front of the bed. "Shadow.. it's ok I dimmed the lights.." She whispered softly. I slowly got out and hugged her. She hugged back and she felt small in my arms. 'I am 6'4 after all..' I thought.

I picked V up and laid her on the bed. "Sleep. You need rest." I said to her, She sighed and nodded before going to get ready for bed. Soon, she fell asleep and I just laid down next to her and looked up at the ceiling remembering all the lies the man that was unfortunately my father told me.

'Mother... I wish I had met you..' My only wish was that. To meet my mother. I let out a defeated sigh knowing I won't meet her. She was an angel in heaven now. V cuddled with me whilst still being asleep and I placed my hand around her.

I kissed her forehead before sleeping myself.

●I looked on from the corner of my room to see my past self with my father. I was crying because of a bully but he couldn't care less. "Stop crying like a baby. If you can't beat a bully then you're just a weakling. Now go train or no food for the week." He said the last part while walking away. I cried harder and ran to the training room to train.

I kept seeing different events of my father suppressing my sadness and pain one after the other. I soon saw my father for what he was. A monster that will rip your heart out.

The monster attacked me and I shut my eyes tight ready for impact●

I woke up with tears in my eyes and shaking. V had woken up and saw me in the weak state I was in. "Nightmare huh?" She said, Her voice was calming and I nodded.

The Indian-Australian cuddled with me. "Wanna talk about it?" She asked. I sighed and hugged her. "Just.. some bad memories.. Just go back to sleep, I'll be fine. I can deal with them alone." I told her.

"I know what it's like to deal with nightmares alone." She muttered. I let out a deep sigh and told her about the nightmare. After a bit of comfort we both feel back asleep.
