Let me to tell you a story.

1945, two months before the most dramatic, history-altering event of 20th century took place.

A Japanese man found himself in an unusual circumstance.

During World War Two, the claimed individual was a military officer in the Japanese National Army.

After several years of serving his nation on the battlefield, he had returned to his birthplace.

He was going to be honoured and recognised for his contributions.

A full seminar hall was expecting him to walk in, and they will remember him for his great victories.

As he will walk in, they will all stand.

His heroism will be lauded by a chorus of admirers.

They will applaud for every fanciful statement that he will say.

Then why wasn't he content?

He led a platoon of 120 troops and was the lone survivor on the battlefield; he was not able to save his closest confidant, an earnest companion, his only equal.

Neither he was able to save those who considered him as their messiah, their long-awaited saviour.

But who can blame him?

After all, that was his given task. He kept telling himself that.

"Great fights necessitate huge sacrifices." He kept telling himself this.

No matter the amount of hardship, he had to endure - He kept saying that to himself.

Was he mistaken?

The aforementioned man found himself in front of the door that would lead him to glory.

But he was terrified and couldn't move an inch. He couldn't even open the door for which he had donated his life.

It seemed as if a bizarre clasp had been placed on his feet, as if a devil himself have came from beneath the ground and spit his claws into the man's feet.

The man who had never felt fear was terrified, his feet frozen, and his entire body trembling.

He was questioning himself a lot.

Is it really okay for him to be here?

Were the actions he took for this illusory glory truly necessary?

Were the decisions back on the battlefield really great ?

He looked at his side but didn't found an ever-smiling face.

Was everything he did actually worth it?

According to his perspective of life, there is no good nor evil, but rather a place for good and evil.
