Yeonjun sighed as he hiked up his bag over his shoulder staring at his parents waiting at the wide open door, he barely managed not to roll his eyes seeing Ji-sul stand between the couple with a bouquet of baby breaths.
Baby breaths were the flowers he found adorable but seeing Ji-sul hold them for him now he feels nauseated.
"Eomma! Appa!" Soobin yelled as he left the bags behind and just ran towards the couple embracing them.
From a distance Yeonjun just stared with distaste how his parents coddled up with his boyfriend while he was left forgotten to carry all the bags alone instead.
"Jun?" Ji-sul smiled at him. "Let me help?"
"No, just keep holding those flowers." Yeonjun huffed and carried everything inside and dumped it against the wall. "Eomma, abeoji, I'm here too?" He voiced out but got ignored.
Nothing new.
"Oh! Hyungie!" Soobin laughed as he finally walked towards his boyfriend, smiling innocently at the scowling older. "Come on, dar— hyung, don't act like you've broken your back or something just from carrying the bags."
"My back isn't broken but my thighs are aching." Yeonjun scrunched his nose giving his boyfriend an ironic smile. "And it's all your fault."
"Why are your thighs aching?" Ji-sul questioned with a frown as he took in the fact that Yeonjun is dressed up in a turtle neck even when the sun outside is blazing. "Did you go running yesterday?"
"No," Yeonjun scoffed as he hugged Ji-sul. He rolled his eyes over how the other went stiff, surely not expecting it, "but I did some riding though." He whispered before he pulled away from the hug before his ex-boyfriend could even hug him back.
Ji-sul looked at the direction where Yeonjun's eyes trailed over, he tightened his grip on the bouquet. He just shook his head. Yeonjun was surely just playing around with him. Anyways, he will win his boyfriend back.
"Here," he stretched out the bouquet towards the red haired, smiling when Yeonjun accepted the flowers, "just give me this one week, I'll prove myself to you and my love to you."
"I love Soobin, Ji-sul." Yeonjun sighed, staring at the bunch of flowers that were in his hold. "You know even if you did this, proving yourself and your love crap before, starting from the next day after you…" he paused because he couldn't say it again, he tried to, but he was still weak when it came to that incident where he shattered his self-esteem and gave off his pride sobbing as he begged Ji-sul just to look at him once, "whatever, let's just not talk about it."
He fished out his phone from his pocket before placing it on Ji-sul's hand. "Please put my phone on charge in my old room," he stared at the other, waiting for himself to feel something… anything, for the man in front of him but his smile only widened when he felt absolutely nothing, "you do have a charger, right, or should I—?"
"No." Ji-sul tucked away the phone in his pocket nodding his head. "I have my charger upstairs, I'll plug in yours, Jun."
"Thank you." Yeonjun shrugged before he made his way towards his parents, glancing over his shoulder.
Ji-sul stared at Yeonjun until the redhead turned his head away and got engulfed in the couple's arms before he turned around making his way up the stairs, caressing over his pocket just to feel the outline of his ex-boyfriend's phone.
Opening the door to his room he walked inside unplugging his own phone from the charger before plugging in Yeonjun's.
For a while he stared at the lock screen being a picture of Soobin's childhood picture where he is leaning against a tree, it's always been Soobin's baby photos even when they were together.
