"Y/N!" A echoed voice said to me. "Y/N, wake up. That's it."

My eyelashes fluttered open to see a bright white room.

"Where-where am I?" I asked feeling so groggy and unresponsive.

"The hospital. Your surgery ended a few hours ago and it's time to wake up." I did what I could to turn my head to the person I was talking to but I still feel pretty drugged up.

It was the Ally girl. I just remember her because she's short and nice.

"Can I just sleep please?" I asked feeling my body start to weigh almost 1,000 pounds.

"No. You have to wake up and stay up. That way we can see if there's any complications." Ally explained with a smile. She turned her head to the tallest person in the room and spoke to them, "Dinah, go tell the nurse that she's awake."

That girl nodded and walked out of the room.

My eyelids grew heavy and before I knew it, I was falling back to sleep.

I woke up on and off but I could never fully stay awake.

It wasn't until the next day when I woke up with Camila in my bed that I was finally feeling better.

I yawned loudly and it caused Camila to shift in her sleep but not wake up. I did my best to turn but I couldn't.

"Fucking shit." I groaned.

"You sound chipper." Lauren said startling me.

"Oh fuck." I said in a horrified expression. "Can you announce yourself?"

She giggled, "You used to always say that to me." Lauren got up from her seat, "Do you need help? Sometimes Camila can be a little too cozy."

I nodded knowing she was my only choice and she helped pull my body away from Camila's.

"There." She smiled looking down at me.

I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Not only did her eyes hypnotize me but she was hypnotic in herself. So beautiful and perfect.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lauren asked.

I shrugged, "I dunno. Something about you is coming back to me."

"What?"

"I remember that you would read to me? Was that a thing?" I asked still unsure how this was all coming back. It was kind of like a flash of moments passing through in my head.

She smiled happily, "Yeah. I read to you a lot actually. Well mostly I read your stuff back to you."

"What? Im an author now too?" I asked sarcastically.

"Aspiring author actually."

I laughed, "Well that's ironic."

"What?"

"An author who can't even use her hands. What a cruel joke."

Lauren pushed her hair back with her black painted fingernails and smiled, "This is only temporary."

"Then why does your face tell me that you're not confident about that."

She frowned and pulled up a chair close to the bed, "So how's your memory besides knowing that I would read to you?"

I sighed out and tried to think back to what I figured out only a few hours ago with Camila and Dinah, "I remember going on a date with you in Brazil."

Lauren's face almost blushed to a dark red hue, "What about Brazil?"

"Keep it in your pants, Lauren." I laughed to the dark haired Cuban. "I wish I could remember that part but I can't. I just remember you taking me and Camila on a date to the beach. Nothing too big."

She made a half-giggle and smiled, "That was mostly for Camila. She loves swimming. I'm more of a sit on the beach and read type of gal."

"I guess that makes sense now." I replied.

She nodded and the room grew quiet.

Lauren licked her lips and looked into my eyes, "Are you ready for your first trial of rehab?"

I shook my head, "Almost as ready as I am about getting a pap-smear."

"It's good to know that positivity still isn't your thing." She laughed.

With each word, it was like she wanted something. She was begging with her eyes. Wanting me to bring something up. I didn't know what it was.

Confirmation about our relationship? A kiss? A new chapter to my so-called story? A puppy? What the fuck did she want?

I guess I was staring at her again and a smile formed on her face, "Why do you keep doing that?"

I turned my glare to the wall, "No reason."

"Just tell me."

"I'm trying to figure you out." I replied honestly. "I understand who Camila is but you're harder to decode."

She smirked and batted those beautiful long eyelashes at me, "Good to know. Do you want me to give you a hint as to what I'm thinking?"

I nodded vigorously. My super power of reading people was defenseless against her.

She leaned in and softly kissed me once. Nothing to big. But sweet in its own way.

"Hey. Thanks a lot for leaving me out." Camila whined into my neck while scooting closer.

I groaned, "You're left out because you're making me burn up."

"I'm cold." Camila retorted scooting closer and pulling a blanket over the two of us.

Lauren sighed out, "Camz, give her some space to sleep."

Camila yawned and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes before stretching out and getting up from the bed, "Fine." She walked over to place a kiss on my forehead, "Ally said she'd be here to pick me up and take me home so I could get some clothes and a shower around this time anyways but I'll be back before you know it."

Camila kissed Lauren's lips and squeezed her hand, "Don't miss me too much."

"Well if my memory was better I would." I laughed which made the other two giggle as Camila left the room.

I looked over to see Lauren looking down at her fingers with a small frown.

"Laur." I spoke up causing her to turn her attention to me. "Since Camila won't be here, I'll feel a little lonely going back to sleep. I mean, I understand if you don't wanna lay beside me but she's been doing it for the past few days and we're dating t-too so.."

Lauren smiled and got up from her chair to stop my idiot ramble, "You're cute when you stutter, mama." She pulled down the rail and crawled in close beside me to pull the rail back up. Lo nuzzled her face into my neck while wrapping her arms around my waist and whispered to me, "Goonight, Y/N."

"Night, Lauren." I told her while we relaxed with each other to help me zone off into a deep sleep.
