CAMILA'S POV

After we got the award, we were so high on life. It was like a childhood dream to go up on that stage and see all those kids looking up to me. My goals have been reached.
We walked off the stage and my phone started ringing in my pocket. I pulled it out to see an unknown number but with a LA area code.

I pulled the phone to my ear, "Hello?"

"Is this Karla Camila Cabello?" A man with a deep voice asked. Something didn't feel right.

"Yes, who is this?"

"I'm a doctor at the White Memorial Medical Center. We need to inform someone about the condition of Y/F/N Y/L/N and your name was wrote inside of her wallet." He replied with a stern voice.

I put my hand over my free ear to make sure I was hearing him correctly, "The condition of Y/N? What do you mean?"

He sighed, "Ma'am, Y/N was hit in a car accident. She's now in critical condition at the hospital. Are you her guardian?"

That's when I lost it. I dropped my phone and froze.

Lauren looked back and grabbed my hand, "Babe, are you okay?" She knelt down to pick up my phone. "Hello?"

"Please come to the White Memorial hospital to sign some papers. Thank you." The man said through the speaker before hanging up.

Lauren brushed her fingers through my hair and looked me in the eyes, "Camz, why did a hospital call you?"

"She-she's gone." I couldn't get it out of my mouth.

Lauren became more serious, "What are you talking about? Tell me."

"Y/N got hit by a car. She's hurt. Lauren, she's gone." I bursted out and I could see my vision begin to be blurred with tears.

Lauren went limp and blank, "You're joking right?" I shook my head with a frown, "Oh my God. We gotta go see her now."

"Y/F/N Y/L/N please." Ally shakily said to the lady at the front desk.

The lady looked at us with sad eyes and nodded before getting up to grab a clipboard and bring it to us, "I'll tell the doctor you're here. He's been waiting."

Ally retrieved the clipboard to go and sit down with the rest of us and wait. She quickly scribbled down the information while we all sat in an impatient silence.

"Family of Ms.Y/L/N?"

Everyone stood up and looked at the doctor with pleading eyes, mine and Lauren's were covered in tears.

"How is she?" I asked getting closer to the 6 foot tall man.

He sighed, "She's in a coma. A car hit her and while she was on the road, it hit two other cars. That caused her door to be stuck shut. They had to use the jaws of life to get her out."

We began to follow him once he started to walk away and continue to tell us the story, "She's basically bruised all over her body and she has a broken leg and a fractured wrist. God willing she wasn't hurt too bad. Not only to mention that if she ever wakes up from her comatose state, we'll have to do a lot of brain scans to check her mental capacity at this time."

We stopped at a door that was closed and he put his hand on the handle but didn't pull on it yet. He looked at us with sadder eyes than before, "Just be prepared when you see her. She's hurt very bad."

The door was opened and I grabbed Lauren's hand as we walked into the hospital room. We passed the curtain to see her there.

Almost lifeless. She was pale, bloody, and bruised. Her leg was broken with a cast supporting it. A oxygen mask was on her mouth. As she took each shallow breath, the transparent material fogged up. She had a few scratches on her head and a black eye, but she was recognizable.

I turned to Lauren and buried my face in her chest. I couldn't look at her anymore. I began to sob uncontrollably and I felt Lauren kiss the top of my head.

"I know, baby. I know." She whispered with a shaky voice.

"She looks like she's gone." I whispered back to Lauren softly.

Her hand began running soft circles into my back, "She's not gone, though. She can't be."

The night was long. All 5 of us stayed in the hospital room with her. I laid next to Ally on one of the spare beds that the nurses made for us. They said they understood how it feels to have a friend get hurt so they wanted to make us at home since they realized that we weren't going to leave.

I couldn't help but stare at Y/N as my eyes got heavier. I tried my best to stay awake and fight the sandman but it was no use.

My body was exhausted and so was my mind. The thought of losing her was almost too much for me. It's what caused me to fall into a deep sleep.

LAUREN'S POV

I sat there in a chair just staring at her.

I'm not sleepy. I'm not awake though. I'm just numb. I'm numb seeing my girlfriend in that hospital bed. She's so unaware of the outside world now. She looks hurt and scared.

I told her not to go out. I told her to stay home and all she wanted was some damn peanut butter. She didn't deserve this. No one deserves this.

I should've stayed home and took her on a date like I wanted to. I shouldn't have left to that stupid award show. She'd be okay if I would've been at home with her.

A tear dropped down my cheek and I quickly wiped it. I can't cry. I know she's gonna be okay. I just know it. She's gonna recover. I'll make sure of it.

"Wow, I didn't know Lauren Jauregui had emotions." I heard Dinah joke from behind me.

I smiled slightly, "Yeah, well. I don't. Not for most people, anyways."

I felt her hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see the tall girl. Her mascara was ran down her face from the emotional roller coaster each of the girl's have had in mere hours of winning an award and finding out a close friend is in a coma.

"She's gonna be fine, Laur. I believe it." Dinah said with the utmost confidence.

I put my hand on top of hers and smiled, "Thanks, DJ."

"So, how do you think Camila's gonna cope with this in the morning?" She sounded worried.

We know how emotionally unstable Camila is sometimes so I could understand why she'd be feeling this way.

I shrugged, "I'm hoping for the best, but when she wakes up and realizes this isn't just a nightmare I'll be there."

Dinah threw a blanket over my body while I was talking and tucked in the sides, "Well, until then you need your rest, too. It's your girlfriend in that bed, man. We don't want you to go crazy from not sleeping."

I nodded, "I'll pass out soon, Dinah. Just turn out the light and go to bed with Mani."

Dinah smirked, "You just want to ship Norminah because Laurinah isn't a thing anymore."

I smirked, "You're crazy. Night, DJ."

"Night, Lern." Dinah replied getting into the other spare bed next to Normani.

I sat there in the dark with my eyes stretched towards Y/N and the machines. I made sure each beep was normal as the pattern slowly hypnotized me to sleep.
