Four years later.

“dad, ill be fine” I said hugging him

“are you sure you don’t want me to help you move in?” he asked

“no I got it.” I said as some guy started putting my bags on a cart “and I have this guy helping me” I looked at him and he smiled back nervously.

“okay. Goodbye. I guess” he hugged me once more. He got in the car and peeled away as I waved goodbye.

“are you ready to go to your dorm?” the guy asked. “oh yes,” I replied. “im Taylor, by the way.”

“Jake.” He smiled. “are you from around here?”

“yeah, like twenty minutes away. I went to Riverdale.” I explained

“ahh I see.” He said looking at the ground. Jake was cute. Typical college boy who cared way to much about his looks than he should. He had brown flippy hair and green eyes. We walked for forever around campus.  “we’re here” Jake said stopping at my dorm door. I unlocked it and went in. Jake set all of my bags on my bed and started to leave.

“it was nice meeting you!” I said.

“yepp. you too.” He said back and shut the door behind him.

You’re probably wondering what has happened to me. I guess you could say high school wasn’t a walk in the park for me. From that night, to my first actual heart break, to losing my mom in a car accident, but thankfully I’m getting a fresh start as a freshman at Coastal Carolina. You may have guessed that I never found the boy with blue eyes. At this point, I have accepted ill never find him. I will never know what happened that night. I still have nightmares but I’m used to it by now.
