"Madison, I have to talk to you about something."
"Sure, what is it?"
"Well, uhm...I uhm..."
"Hayes, is everything okay?"
"Yeah, it's just that, I've been feeling something for a very long time, and I've been wanting to tell you it's just that I don't really know how."
"Go ahead Hayes, just tell me."
"Okay...well uhm...I uhm..."
"Keep...going..."
"I...have...feelings...for...Ash..."
"Oh..."
"I just wanted to tell you that i wanted us to take a break for now...is that okay?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Things like this are bound to happen sometime in our lives."
"So your not mad?"
"*sighs* Of course not Hayes. You could've just told me. I would never be mad at something like this. If you want a break then you want a break, and I respect that."
"Thanks for understanding. But don't get me wrong thought, your a really beautiful and talented and bright girl, it's just, we should take a break for now, you know? Take a little breather. But I still love you as a friend."
"I love you too." we both hugged for a minute until Madison spoke up again.
"I hope you and Ash are happy together. And as for me, I'll be searching for my "prince charming"." we both laughed and a silence came. "I'll miss being yours."
"I'll miss it too, but we'll always be friends no matter what, okay?" she nodded and she walked back to the bonfire. I was walking back until I saw a shadowy figure. I heard sobbing go along with it. I saw a white sweater the same as Ashley's. ASHLEY. THATS ASHLEY CRYING. OH NO. I HATE SEEING HER CRY. IT HURTS ME SEEING HER GET HURT. OH SHIT. "Ash? That you?"
"Go away."
"Ash? Please talk to me."
"What do you want?"
"To know if you're okay..." she looked up at me with tears in her eyes, nothing but red, her face: watery. her eyes: puffy. I couldn't help but run to her and cradle her in my arms. So thats exactly what I did. Her head rested on my chest. My arms cradled around her. One arm under her neck, and the other pulling her close to me. Nothinf but sobs came out of her mouth, and it hurt my heart, cos the girl I loved most was hurting. "Shhhhh...hey don't cry Ash...you wanna tell me what happened? Who's the guy I have to kick in the balls?" I heard a small laugh come from her and she answered me.
"He cheated on me."
"What? How? When did this happen?"
"You and Madison went down to the water, and Jack was using the bathroom. He let me borrow his phone to look for a song to play when we were all back together. Then this Sabrina girl popped up with a text message-" she started breaking down mid sentence and eventually finished it. "-the text said, " 'are you almost done with that slutt? i miss you so much even though we were at your house yesterday.' " and she just kept texting and texting and texting. Then another one came and it read, " 'sorry babe your probably hanging with her right now I'll text you later babe i love you.' " and i just broke down and he came back and asked me what happened. But i guess he figured out cos he left fast...he's probably on his way to meet up with that stupid thottie!" Ash whispered.
"Ash, if Jack's that stupid to cheat on you then he's a douchbag. He doesn't deserve you. There's much better guys out there for you. MUCH BETTER. Maybe, you just haven't found the right one yet."
"I shouldn't have gone out with him. I knew those rumors were true, but no, I had to be my stupid self, and ignore them and do what I wanted to do. GOSH ASHLEY YOUR SUCH AN IDIOT!" Ashley yelled to herself and started to smack herself in her face a punch her legs. I hate it when she did this, it made me want to cry.
"ASHLEY, DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT TO YOURSELF AGAIN. I'VE SEEN YOU DO THIS A LOT BUT I'M DONE WITH YOU DOING THIS TO YOURSELF. ASHLEY, YOUR SO BEAUTIFUL YET YOU HARM YOURSELF TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK LIKE THE OTHERS. BUT WHY? YEAH JACK CHEATED ON YOU, THEN HE'S JUST A STUPID HORNY FUCK FOR DOING THAT. YOUR BETTER THAN HIM AND WAY OUT OF HIS LEAGUE." she smiled a little and gave me the most greatest, tightest, hugs ever.
"Hayes, can I ask you something?"
"Go." we were still hugging as Ash was talking to me.
"When do you think I'll ever be asked out again?"
"Well...never..."
"What's that suppose to mean?" she sounded offended.
"Never because I'm gonna ask you out right now. Ashley Wolff, will you go out with me?" she untangled from our hugging postition with a small smile on her face, grabbed my face, and kissed me. FINALLY! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO KISS HER EVER SINCE THE DAY I MET HER. The kiss had ended so i began to speak. "So that's a yes?" I smirked.
"Of course it is. I've been wanting to hear those words ever since we met." she smiled and hugged me again. I texted my mom to ask her if she could pick us up and she replied and said she would be here in 10 minutes. Until then, Ash and I cuddled and waited for mom. Tonight was a good night.
