(Wednesday, August 15th)

This morning, I had finished a small amount of my cleaning tasks before arriving in the kitchen, just now at six sharp, my mind full of thoughts as I racked the fibers of it for what to make for Mrs. Calloway's breakfast when I don't know what she enjoys or likes yet. But there is general food that many people, even the meanest of people like. I am not saying that Mrs. Calloway is mean, but it was just an example.

But I had wanted to get a good amount of my general tasks done earlier in the morning because I'm an extremely responsible adult. Of course, it was no other reason. Nope. It was definitely no other reason at all. Yeah, I won't admit that I was nervous about making Mrs. Calloway's breakfast because I wasn't.

And after my mind finally settled on what to prepare for Mrs. Calloway, my hands had started preparing pancakes, and I took the time to let a good majority of the butter soak into the pancake batter before I cooked them, and I even added a few pinches of cinnamon before I started moving around the kitchen as I cooked.

The kitchen has white granite surfaces above dark wooden bases with a kitchen island in the middle. The kitchen is open to the dining room and adjacent to the dining room is a seating area with soft white seats and light grey pillows placed on the seat cushions. The white chairs are above a large light grey rug with numerous rectangular patterns, and a large dark wooden coffee table is in the middle of the seats in front of a flat screen tv that stretches across the wall with a long and slim dark wooden entertainment table below the tv.

The dining room that the kitchen opens up to has ten light grey dining seats equally spaced out on each end of the dark wooden table with four seats on the long length's of the table, and one seat on each end of the table. Above the dining table is a grand crystal chandelier that lit up every spot of the area, and in the middle of the dining table are two medium glass vases with white hydrangeas that a nice modernly designed napkin holder is placed in between of.

Despite the details of the rooms, the seating area and the dining room are big in size, and almost all of the table surfaces in both big areas have white flowers in glass vases, wooden trays with candles, cup-holders, books, and decor pieces like small ceramic or silver statues.

Although, in these spaces, there are no family photos anywhere.

Cooking being something that came naturally to me, I had just skillfully flipped a perfectly golden pancake with a spatula in the second that I heard the consistent intimidating rhythm of high heels on the hard wood floors in my ears, my ears that shivered from every clicking sound.

To desperately avoid messing up which could lead to embarrassment that will undeniably pick at me for the rest of my life, I directed my focus on finishing her breakfast, but while definitely ignoring the hammering in my chest from the sound of high heels.
