Otto sat at his monitor. He sorely didn't want to give his business partner the bad news regarding the compound. But he had to give it to him. They been working together for years now. They could always understand and trust each other. Right?
The Monitor opened to reveal the CEO of the Umbrella Corporation, Darren Agonistes Cross!

Darren smiled in surprise. "Otto! I thought we hadn't planned to call until the following month."
Otto sighed. "Darren... I have unfortunate news."
Darren's smile disappeared. "What? What happened?"
"A couple of days ago... a thief infiltrated our grounds, blindsided us and in doing so, took the compound."
Darren just stared at Otto through the screen, his expression slowly and slowly becoming more unhappy. Suddenly, he started to laugh.
Otto raised an eyebrow. "Is something funny?"
Darren collected himself. "No, I just find it laughable that someone like you got beaten by someone who's so far beneath you."
Otto grimaced. "Darren, this thief was a meta-human with special technology, including some sort of suit aiding her."
"It doesn't matter. You lost the compound. That was part of our deal wasn't it? You sell the compound to me, I modify it with my own work and present it to my shareholders as a game-changer and help you bring Oscorp out to rest of the world. If you can't deliver your part, then I can't deliver mine."
Otto calmly searched for a response. "Listen... Darren. Let me reproduce the compound. It will be done within a week's time. I know your shareholders are short on waiting time, but I promise that I can deliver my part of the deal. I swear."
Darren sighed, then chuckled. "I like you Otto. So I'll be nice about this. You get one week from today. No more, no less. I don't have the compound by then, I'll have to end our deal."
Otto sighs in slight relief. "Thank You, Darren. I'll have it ready within a week's time or less."
The video call then hangs up. Otto is relieved. He feels very lucky that his business partner didn't cut the deal with him, he needs this! Oscorp and Umbrella needed to grip the world and never let go! At least... that's the plan...
