Chapter 6: Consequences Of Fated Pairs

Aki's Point Of View....

I looked down at the bed that Pheonix was on, Natsume dropped her here since she passed out. 'To think you were Bete's Fated Pair as well as Mate, you should've told us.' I thought as I looked down. She feels a lot more pain than any Omega since her Alpha is not only her Mate but also Fated Pair. Her nose is more sensitive to his pheromones especially if she hasn't been around it for so long. Not only that but her pregnancy would also be quite dangerous without him around. That could also explain why her body is still slightly weak as well. "Where am I?" I heard Pheonix ask as I smiled a little. "You're at my House, again." I said with a light laugh. "Aki." She said as I nodded. She soon started to get up as she held her head. "Careful, don't move so quickly." I said as I rushed to her. 'She shouldn't be moving so much.' I thought to myself as Pheonix held my wrist. "I'm fine, Aki. I have to go to the Dungeon." She said as my eyes widened. "Absolutely not. You're in no condition to do that." I said as I shook my head. 'Is she trying to kill herself?' I thought as I looked at her. "I have to protect my Pups and Bell. I can't just stay here while they're out fighting." She said as I looked down. "Then I'll go with you. Hoshi's asleep and he'll be out till Morning. I'm not going to let you go there by yourself." I said as I got ready. I know that she wouldn't let me go to a Dungeon by myself in that kind of state so I wanted to do the same. She would always help me out so I didn't mind doing the same or giving her the same courtesy at least. "You don't have to do that. I know that it's pretty late after all." She said as I shook my head. "I want to besides, you should know about the risks of not being with your Fated Pair for a limited time." I said to her as she froze. "So you guys found out, huh?" She said as she asked me. "It makes sense though. You were always more frailer than most Omegas even if they are Human. Not only that but your constant chest pains and all, makes sense now. I'm just sorry that we didn't know sooner or realize it at least." I said as I looked down. "It's not your guys fault, besides, I'm sure Bete forgot about it two. We were pretty young when we first met and all. But after what happened with Mom and the others, he was consumed by his desire to get stronger. I don't blame anyone for what I have to go through." She said softly as I frowned. 'But still, because of that and because of what he said, you're put through more pain.' I thought to myself. Natsume did say that Bete was basically hitting on Ais and for a Fated Pair that's even worse to hear or see than it would for a Mate. "Still, it's dangerous for you if someone tries to Mark you. There's already so many Beastmen who's trying to do that because of your body, appearance and personality. Not only that but even with that Scent Blocker, your Omega pheromones are still strong." I said as I explained to her. I wasn't trying to scare her or anything, I just wanted her to understand that I was worried and not all of the Beastmen intentions were pure as she always thought. "I know that, I do. But if I just ignore them and not help them when they need it, then I feel disgusted in myself. It just doesn't feel right if I do nothing when I know that I can." She said as she explained to me. Though I did understand her intention, I truly did, it was that kind of thing that drew people into her. Once I was ready, I began to follow after her as we went to the Dungeon. She was quickly killing the Monsters we came across as I picked up the Magic Stones for her. I know that she was mad since Bete did talk about their Pups in such a criticizing way after all. No doubt the others felt disappointed in themselves two so all I did was just make sure that she was fine. 'I know for a fact that Natsume isn't going to like the fact that I made her go to the Dungeon at this time let alone in her condition.' I thought to myself as I shook my head. As she was killing the Monsters, I noticed that tears were streaming down her face as she continued to attack. 'Pheonix.' I thought sadly as I looked at her. Even though she always insists that she's fine or alright, Natsume and I knew that she was in pain after what had happened earlier. She just never lets anyone see it because she feels like she'd burden them instead. That was why Natsume and I would always let her know that if she needed someone to talk to, we'd listen. We both wanted to help her out as much as we could since she helped us. She was also our Friend two so I wanted her to know that she could rely on us if she needed. Though there was only so much that we could do, she still needed Bete to help her out. Raising Pups on her own isn't easy and her Familia wasn't doing financially well. It was also just mainly Bell, Goddess Hestia and her doing most of the work. They were the only ones old enough to do and the Dungeon doesn't really supply them with enough since there's basically seven mouths to feed and take care of. 'She's getting faster and stronger.' I thought as I saw one of the Dungeon Lizard try to eat Pheonix only to die a second later. I decided to help Pheonix out as she was soon covered in blood. 'Her eyes look more brighter in the Dungeon than outside.' I thought as I looked at her. As we continued heading deeper, we saw Bell and the others who looked in a similar state as Pheonix. 'I'm sure you guys will make everyone who doubted you, realize their mistakes.' I thought to myself as I smiled a bit. It didn't take long before they soon battled together as I just collected the Magic Stones. I wasn't sure how long passed since then but soon, I noticed that they were all getting tired so Pheonix carried Luca and the others while I carried Bell. "You guys did great." I whispered to the Pups as they smiled a bit before knocking out. It was cute how they did their best in order to keep Pheonix safe as well as Bell. Even though they are Alphas, they're still just Pups before all else so they won't be as strong as many other people or Dungeon Monsters either.
