Chapter 7: Monster Festival Disaster

Natsume's Point Of View....

I was with the Pups as I took notice of what day it was. "Oh right, Monsterferia is tomorrow." I said as Aki nodded. "Oh, right. You guys are going with Pheonix tomorrow, right?" Aki asked them as they nodded. "Well, she said that she was fine with it but I'm not sure. Mommy doesn't like crowds after all but she wants us to go and experience it at least once." Luca said as he crossed his arms. "Mommy does so much but with the Beastmen always going after her or trying to Mark her, it's getting even more dangerous. Not only that but I have a bad feeling about it two." Zero said as Teria and Lumine nodded. 'A bad feeling?' I thought as I looked at them. "What do you mean by a bad feeling though?" I asked them in confusion. "I don't know but it's just, I have a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen. I don't know why though." Teria said as Zero nodded in agreement. "If that's the case then, that means that we should be extra careful." Luca said as he looked down deep in thought. "Sometimes, I forget your guys' age with the way you guys talk at times. It's definitely really different than Bete's way of talking, that's for sure." I said with a light chuckle. Though they did sometimes have his temper, they mainly took after Pheonix with her way of talking and her high intellect but that's basically it. "Well, we're also going to be going there two so maybe we can meet up as well." Aki said to them as I nodded. "That doesn't sound so bad." I said as I thought about it. 'It'll give them more time together two.' I thought to myself as I smiled a little. It was nice that Hoshi found his Mate and I was glad that it was one of Pheonix's Pups. Pheonix was an amazing person and so was Bell so I had no doubt her Pups were the same. "Maybe we should tell Mommy about it then. I mean Mommy always said that she would get the same gut feelings and it's never been wrong so maybe, we should ask her about it." Lumine said as she was eating an apple slice. 'Pheonix could always sense things like this?' I thought with surprise. Though I guess it showed that we still don't know everything about her. However, from what the kids are saying, it's always a bad feeling that she would get which means that she would always sense whenever something and would happen. That was the one thing that scared me the most though. 'Does that mean when all of those people died, she could sense it before it even happens?' I thought as my eyes widened. "But Mommy's own was different. She would sometimes even have dreams of it happening and then it happens the next day so she might not know what to say." Luca said as he looked at them. 'So she's sometimes even have premonitions about it two, that's not really common.' I thought to myself with a frown. There had to be more to it instead though. But that also meant that she would se with in her dreams and then to have experienced it in real life, which honestly sucked. 'I can't really blame her for not really wanting to sleep or to always be cautious.' I thought to myself as I sighed lightly. "When do you think Mommy and Uncle Bell will be back?" Lumine asked as she looked at us. "Well, knowing them, they're probably going to be back later on in the evening or so." I said as I thought about it. Pheonix has been staying in the Dungeon longer after all whenever she wasn't with the Pups after all and Bell was the same way. The only reason they always stop at Sunset was because of the Pups. They were still young so they wouldn't be able to last forever there and they still needed rest like other children. It would make sense that they'd all be more worried about them rather than themselves. Not only that but they're also much older than the kids so it would make sense that they can last for a long period than others. With Pheonix, she had to take care of four Pups so it would make sense that she'd be able to last for so long without any sleep. She was also a light sleeper so it was easy for her to wake up at the slightest of sounds. 'Maybe I should do something that can help Pheonix out even more.' I thought to myself as I looked out of the window. I wanted to make sure that she'd be okay whenever we'd be out in an Expedition with our Familias. She would always watch Hoshi for us after all but even then, what we give her, is what she's always saved for the Familia. 'I wonder if she'd be fine with some Art Supplies. I could even try selling some of her Artwork as well.' I thought to myself. With her skills, I'm sure that she'd be able to make a ton of Valis with how great it is. It would also be a great help as well for her and her Familia. 'There is also the need for antidotes in case they get poisoned as well or even healing Potions if they end up getting hurt. They don't have a Healer on their Team after all so it would be dangerous if they were to get hurt.' I thought to myself. "You good?" Aki asked as the Pups went to play in the Living room. "Just thinking about how amazing Pheonix is with everything that she does." I said as I shook my head. "I know, I don't think I've ever met someone as strong as her. Even with everything, she always does her best and works hard no matter how many times she falls. She always gets back up and tried again." Aki said as he nodded his head but he wasn't wrong. No matter how many times people always discouraged her, she still never let that stop her. Even now, she was trying her best to be someone that others would deem worthy of being with someone like Bete. 'With they way you're going Pheonix, I have no doubt that sooner or later, Bete will be the one having to chase after you.' I thought as I looked to the sky. I didn't even have to check her Stats to know that she's improving at a rapid pace and the same could be said for Bell and her Pups. I was curious on how long it would take for her to be a Level Six like us though. I was sure that they would be able to do so but I'm not too sure when it would be. 'I guess only time will tell when they'll be able to become Level Sixes.' I thought to myself as I closed my eyes briefly and headed to the Kitchen to cook Dinner.
