Finally.... Seokjin had the office to himself again! He missed this serene and quiet environment, without the crunching-munching sounds of potato chips and clicking-clacking footsteps back and forth. Without Kim Taehyung asking something every few minutes about what, what, how, when, why, why, but why, yeah why???!
He breathed the fresh air of freedom and stretched his body on his executive chair.
When his Room Division Manager asked whether their President Suite was available, or whether they should keep it vacant for when Kim Taehyung returned, Seokjin immediately ordered her to make it available and ready to welcome any guests.
"Right away, Sir," she said, and Seokjin hung up the phone.
Oooh what a lovely morning! Sweet sunshine! Beautiful day! Even this coffee tastes sweeter today!
Last night, he slept so soundly and this morning, he woke up fresh and was excited to get to work.
He was going to do a brief inspection of the restaurant before it opened for hotel guests' breakfast, and met Jung Hoseok at the entrance.
"Morning, Jin! You look exceptionally cheerful today."
"Yes, my headache is finally gone."
Hoseok laughed. "You mean your handsome headache?"
"Headache, Hobi. Just a headache!" Seokjin waved his hands and started asking questions to the head chef. "What's today's specialty, Yoongs?" The three of them had been good friends for quite some time. So when they were alone, they cut all the formality and called each other by their first names instead.
"Seafood, today's catch."
"He is quite a catch, alright!" Hoseok was still talking about Kim Taehyung.
"Fresh from the sea!" Min Yoongi answered proudly. He always went to the market early in the morning and picked the fresh meat, fish, produce, and ingredients himself. "I'll prepare saengseon hwe [Korean sashimi] for lunch and haemultang [seafood stew] for dinner." The rest of the menu was the usual dishes they served every day.
"Perfect!"
"He is perfect!" Hoseok chimed in.
"Mouthwatering meal!" Yoongi added about the dish.
"Yes he is! Have you seen his ass?"
"I'll send it to your office for lunch, Jin."
"Nice lunch! And he was clearly hitting on you."
"Who's hitting on Jin?" Yoongi realized that Hoseok wasn't talking about food.
"Our new big boss, Kim Taehyung."
"Ah, yes. He was ogling at you and didn't even try to be subtle." Yoongi nodded.
"Seriously, Guys?!" Seokjin was dumbfounded.
"You've been single for four years! Time to move on, Jin! Get your revenge by showing off how successful you are now and by having the hottest and richest bachelor there is!" Yoongi poured some fuel.
"Yes! Date him!" Hoseok set the flame.
"Tsk! Arsons!" Jin rolled his eyes at the two. "By the way, his idea of bringing a two-Michelin-star chef here might be finalized sooner than we expected. The Financial Manager has approved the budget for her salary and the market research prospects are good, too. So..."
"Her?" Yoongi asked.
"Yes, the Michelin chef is a woman."
"Alright!!!" He cheered.
"A French chef!" Seokjin added.
"Whoa!!" Yoongi's eyes widened. "Even better! I love French girls!" Yoongi and Hoseok started to giggle like two idiots.
Seokjin scrunched his nose and walked away from the kitchen. Hoseok quickly followed.
"Kim Taehyung brought some good changes here, I see. And Yoongi is right, take revenge for your past by dating him!"
"I'm currently having a great time of my life without him, and you asked me to date that headache instead?! Are you out of your mind, Hobi?"
"Why not? He's super handsome and stinking rich! The best candidate for a boyfriend!"
"A headache!"
"Be careful with your words, Jin! Your headache might come back sooner than you expected!" Hoseok grinned.
"Don't jinx it!"
"Just think about it first, Jin!" He shouted from the restaurant door.
Just think about it first, Jin! Those words reminded him of someone... Just think about it first, Jin. Let's date, Jin!
Seokjin shuddered. He couldn't even imagine spending more days with Kim Taehyung, let alone dating and being together with him for a long time... Hhh...!
