Those lovely-mornings-sweet-sunshine beautiful-days didn't last for long. After about a week of freedom, Kim Taehyung returned to Busan unannounced.
Bad karma caught up with Seokjin fast. The President Suite was now occupied by a VIP guest for the next two days. The Room Division Manager terrifyingly called Seokjin to come to the lobby where Kim Taehyung was now waiting. She then explained the situation and told her Boss that, "There's an available Junior Suite as a temporary substitute, Sir," she said.
Seokjin nodded. "Thank you, Lee."
Taehyung got up from his seat in the far right lobby and approached the two who were talking in whispers at the corner of the receptionist station.
"Seokjin shi, it's okay. I don't like living in the hotel for too long either. I'm going home to my grandfather's house instead."
"What??!!" Those words alerted Seokjin of great danger. Going home to his grandfather's house??! Living with me?!!!
"Manager—-Lee?" Taehyung read the Room Division Manager's name tag on her chest. "Can you send my baggage into the GM's office for now?"
She glanced at her Boss, asking for approval, and Seokjin—-not wanting to create a commotion in the Lobby—-had no choice but nodded. "O-okay, Sir!" Manager Lee then nodded to Taehyung and waved at the nearest standby porter.
"Mr. Kim, let's talk in private." Seokjin lead the way into his office, tailed by Taehyung and a porter pushing the baggage cart behind them.
Seokjin opened the door wide. The porter pushed the cart inside, then bowed politely.
"Thank you—-Ha-ri!" Taehyung read the porter's name tag and gave him a big tip. The boy left, saying thank you and flashing him a happy smile... Unlike the man in front of him now...
Seokjin folded his arms across his chest. Crossed.
"Is the porter's name really Ha-ri? Ha-ri porter?" Taehyung tried to break the ice as he turned his body toward Jin, but it didn't work. So he tried another way. "I miss you." He stretched both of his hands wide in a gesture to hug, catching Jin off guard. He stepped back and fell on the sofa. Taehyung continued to move closer and caged him loosely.
"Mr. Kim!!" That's a warning tone.
The elder smiled. "Yes, Jin?" The deep husky voice sent a shiver down Jin's spine. Taehyung straightened his body and stood up straight. "I actually expect a warm hug." He sat and Seokjin let out a long sigh.
"The Junior Suite is available. The room is very nice, you've seen one before. Just for two days. After the VIP guest leaves, you can move to the President Suite."
"I've told you I don't really like staying in a hotel for too long, Jin. It's not about the suite. I'm actually more of a house-kind of person. Especially for long stays."
"Uh... you plan to stay long?" Seokjin was dumbfounded. He looked at Taehyung's baggage on the cart. That was quite a lot, alright!
"Yes."
"D-don't you... have a job in Seoul?" The thought of having to live in the same house with Kim Taehyung for a long time was.... rather intimidating... for his sanity... and his composure... and his sex drive...
"My firm is not handling any new projects at the moment. My men were currently only maintaining several existing investee companies and I can manage the rest online from here. So, I can focus on Magnolia. You don't like me being here?"
"... You could say that..."
Taehyung burst into a chuckle. He bit his bottom lips. "I appreciate your honesty. So, what are you gonna do about it, then?" He snickered amusingly. His chin up, challenging Seokjin.
Seokjin gulped. His tongue was tied. He couldn't possibly get an apartment this quickly to suddenly move out from Grandpa Kim's house, could he? "Mr. Kim..."
"Hm?"
"I... we... can't live together... It... might create a bad image... for you..."
"Are you sure it's about me? I don't mind being associated with you. I told you I wanna date you." Taehyung pulled out his MacBook, put it on the table, and turned it on. "There must be an empty room for me at Grandpa's house, right?"
"Y-yes..."
"Then it is settled."
Seokjin gulped. "Mr. Kim..."
Taehyung looked up from his laptop. "What is your concern exactly? Is the house messy?"
"No..." On the contrary, it was always neat and tidy.
"Me making advances on you?"
.... Yes... That... That is terrifying. Seokjin was still silent. He was terrified of giving up to Taehyung's advance so easily. The man was so persistent after all.
Taehyung giggled. "Do you really dislike me or are you worried that you might fall for me?"
Seokjin gulped. He was afraid to fall for him.
All the red hue adorned his ivory neck, spilling out all his supposedly-secret feelings. "I... I have to go somewhere." He dodged and got up from his seat, walking out of the room.
"I haven't told you the news I got from Park Jimin and also about the Michelin chef."
"Later..." Seokjin didn't look back as he closed the door and left. He needed somewhere peaceful and quiet to calm his racing heart and confused mind.
Taehyung sat in silence. For once, he didn't know how to approach someone. The obvious flirt, the advance, nothing seemed to work on Seokjin... He had this thick barrier that Taehyung couldn't get through. Why was he so guarded? What was exactly the reason behind it?
He let out a frustrated sigh.
