6. BAEKHO'S TARGET

"What did she say?" Sarang asked as they got into her car, "you are baekho's target, because you are the first person who made baekho fail in carrying out their mission, don't worry I will always protect you, so does Samuel Seo, right?" Jake said glancing at Samuel from the rearview mirror, "sigh.. of course because I'm indebted to you, let's go quickly."

"Where are we going?" Sarang asked. "Your house?" asked Jake, "I'm not sure, the mall is not that far from my house, she was also there earlier, is my house still safe?"

Jake opens the refrigerator which turns out to only contain soju and food that is not appetizing.

"No food? Usually your fridge is full." Jake asked glancing at Sarang who had just left her room.

"Nothing, my food is full at the other house, if you want I will buy it at the front mini market." Sarang offered.

"You're not the type who likes to get drunk, why is your refrigerator full of soju bottles, I told you not to think too much about others, this is my responsibility, soon we will be together like before, Sarang." Jake only watched Sarang who discouraged her from opening the soju bottle, "how do you do that? You know me, right? Even though I want to stop thinking about others, I still can't! how can i stay calm? their news isn't clear, and what i can do? here! Hiding like a loser!"

"Sarang.." Jake feels that he has provoked Sarang's anger, "...you guys are at war with workers I don't know! You guys are fugitives I'm the last person to know! Am I really useless for bigdeal? Why am I-" Sarang is silent when Jake hugs her, calming her down.

"Okay.. sorry for making you like this, you're very useful and you're not a loser. You managed to save Samuel Seo that's a great thing. Haven't you heard that Baekho has never failed? But they failed because of you? Are you not aware of this?"  Jake  broke his hug and looked at Sarang who was silent.

"I'm ashamed of you.. I'm ashamed of all of you..." her tears fell, "don't cry, you don't need to be ashamed, I'm proud of you for carrying out this important mission well, I know how you fight fear inside you when facing Baekho alone back then." Jake wiped the tears away, "everyone who joins bigdeal is useful, there are no losers in bigdeal, including you."

"Sorry.." Hearing that Jake smiled warmly, "You didn't do anything wrong, so don't apologize." Jake hugged Sarang again without realizing that Lineman was smiling when he saw that and Samuel Seo didn't have any expression, choosing to pay attention from afar.

Samuel watched Sarang leave, "You didn't eat?" asked Lineman because after cooking dinner the girl left, "I'm still full, you guys eat, I want to take a walk for a while."

After saying that the 3 boys looked at each other, "she must have thought of that." Jake said enjoying Sarang's cooking.

"Which matter?" asked Samuel opening the soju bottle, "she's become Baekho's target." Answered Jake casually.

"Gosh, it got like that? she was really panicked, you know? When she was at the mall earlier she asked me to kiss her, she slapped me instead."

"... You? kiss her? how come?" asked Jake curiously while Lineman just listened.

"She saw the woman earlier when she got off the escalator and then she didn't speak clearly... it was just pretending I instead-"

"Pfft~ Never mind, luckily you were only slapped and didn't get knocked unconscious~" Jake  said patting Samuel Seo shoulder slowly then went back to devouring his food.

"Why did I buy soju again? Even though the fridge is full at home..." Along the way the girl just enjoyed the snacks she bought at the front mini market, she couldn't remember the time, even at home she didn't know what to do.

"Nothing interesting here." Sarang's eyes turned to the figure beside her, "You! Why did you come out?!" Sarang pulled Samuel arm but the boy didn't move, " go! they can-"

Samuel covered Sarang's mouth so she wouldn't speak again, "UHM?!"

"Shut up. If you talk again I'll throw you there." Samuel pointed at a trash can not far from where they were now, "can you calm down for a second?" Only then did Sarang nod and the boy released his hand on Sarang's mouth.

"It's getting late, why are you hanging around?" Sarang opened her mouth because the boy in front of her was silent too, "what about you?" asked Samuel not answering the question.

"I'm getting some fresh air." Samuel Seo snatched the plastic bag filled with soju and took a sip at will, "let's go home, Jake Kim is worried." He pulled on Sarang's arm leaving that place "I can walk alone! No need to pull me like that." Sarang rubbed her aching arm.

"Can't he be gentle with women..." Sarang said quietly but the boy could still hear her, "can't be with someone like you, you piss me off, let's go, fast!" Samuel walked ahead of Sarang who was still silent.

When he didn't find Sarang, his steps stopped and he saw the girl was still there, looking down, "Hey! Do you want me to pull you again?"
