CHAPTER 43 - Classroom
Diana is in class, the school bell ringing and the students exiting the classroom.
"Don't forget to do your assignments. I want them in by next week," she calls out to her exiting students.
Diana starts packing up her things when she hears her phone ringing. She looks at the screen and Tyson's name pops up.
"Hey, guess who is back?" he asks.
"Hmmm, could it be Arnold Schwarzenegger?" Diana jokingly replies.
"Very funny. I just landed but I need to head to the office first. Perhaps we could meet for dinner?"
"Sure. See you in a bit," Diana agrees.
They hang up and Diana rushes out of the classroom and heads back home.
CHAPTER 44 - Diana's Apartment
Diana is finishing up the final touches of her makeup when she hears banging on the front door. She checks the peephole, surprised to see Eddie behind it.
She opens the door, and asks, confused, "Eddie, what are you doing here?"
Eddie barges in, furious. He pushes her so hard, she falls to the floor and skids. Eddie grabs her by the collar and slaps her. "You stupid bitch. You ruined my life," he roars.
Eddie backhands her again, opening a cut on Diana's lip. Diana is dazed and confused. "What.... What are you talking about?"
"You and your stupid boyfriend just bankrupted my company. It must be something you said right? The both of you must have planned this all along, making me look like a fool. Even Lulu, left me, because apparently, that slut is working for your boyfriend. Oh, how you all must have laughed at me behind my back. And to think I stayed with you all those years? Did you know, you were so pitiful, but you are just as useless as a dead dog by the side of the road," he shouted, spittle coming out of his mouth, Eddie's nose flaring with anger.
Eddie grabs a vase from the table and throws it at the floor by Diana. Diana flinches, curling herself up into a ball.
Having vented his anger, Eddie leaves the apartment, slamming the door behind him. Slowly, Diana gets up, her whole body shaking. An incoming message from Tyson pings on her phone.
"Sorry, might be a bit late. Still in the office," the text reads.
Diana places the phone in her bag, still dazed and leaves her apartment.
CHAPTER 45 - Tyson's Office - Same Night
Diana enters the lobby of the office building in where Tyson has an office on the top floor. She approaches the lift lobby and waits for the lift to take her to the top floor. The building receptionist in the lobby, discreetly makes a call.
