Vivian's POV:
"¡Buenos días mi familia!" I greeted everyone at the table while sitting down to have breakfast.
"¡Buenos días estrella!" Papá greeted.
"Good morning!" Everyone else greeted as well.
After that, everyone started eating the delicious breakfast on the table with usual conversations going on.
"Kids, Callan and I won't be home tonight in time for dinner today. We have a dinner meeting with some clients." Papá informed us while drinking his coffee.
"Oh that reminds me! I won't be home as well for dinner." I said while stacking a couple of pancakes on my plate.
"You have important work to do as well?" Bear asked me sweetly while everyone looked at me.
"Oh no. I actually have a date tonight." I said while adding Nutella on my pancakes and eating them.
Heavenly!
Only after I finished one of my pancakes did I notice the sound of a mosquito flying nearby.
Crickets chirping in the distance.
Windows being rattled by the wind.
Confused, I looked up and around the table to see everyone frozen. Rian had a fork with a bite in his hand near his mouth, his lips in a pout as if he's about to eat but frozen. He kinda looked like Pikachu. I snickered a little at his face which kinda broke everyone out of their trance.
"Estrella, could you please repeat what you just said?" Papá requested me in a careful tone.
What did I just say?
"What did I just say?" I voice out my confusion. I honestly don't remember what I just said, too busy eating.
"Something about a date?" River suggested me.
"Oh yeah! Yes, I'm going on a date tonight." I confirmed after remembering.
"No you're not. You're too young to be dating!" Rian exclaimed making me give him a deadpanned look.
"I'm 22." I stated dryly.
"Exactly! You're too young!" Roman said as if I just said something in his favour only.
"Excuse me?! I'd like to think I'm mature enough to be able to date properly." I stated confidently.
"But you're still so small." Lucas muttered without meeting my narrowed eyes.
"Practically a baby." Callan muttered as well.
"Seriously?! You both as well!" I exclaimed in shock.
"Guys, I get you all feel protective but I really like this guy. Please don't act like this. I don't wanna hide that fact that I'm dating someone from you but I also don't want you to prevent me from dating someone." I spoke softly to them all.
