As the days passed, Fyodor and Dazai got closer. They shared meals together all the time, watched movies, played games, and most certainly cuddled. Dazai even began permanently staying in Fyodor's room. The bedroom no longer looked like it belonged to one person but a couple.
Despite all that, Fyodor and Dazai were still just friends, or rather more than friends but not quite lovers. Fyodor's yearning was getting stronger by the day. Probably because Dazai always chose to snuggle so close to him on a daily basis.
Two happy filled months passed by in a blink of an eye. Everything was falling into place. Dazai began to feel way more comfortable getting closer to Fyodor. As a result of that, sexual tension had risen between the two.
"Here you are," Fyodor said, placing his lover's dinner in front of him.
"Hmmm!" Dazai said, mouth watering. "It looks delicious!"
In front of Dazai was a nicely plated crab and his favorite whiskey. Dazai surely had gotten used to all the nice meals Fyodor served him—and how he was treated like a princess.
Dazai took a bite of the crab, his taste buds flooded with flavor. Crab was his favorite meal but having it be personally cooked for him made it all that much better. Especially since Fyodor was the one to cook it for him.
"Is it to your liking, милый?" Fyodor asked.
"Yes!!!" Dazai said, munching on the delicious crab.
"I am truly glad that I've continued to cook you meals that you love," Fyodor chuckled before sipping his whiskey.
Their dinner was like any other day. There was absolutely no special meaning behind their meal–for Dazai at least.
Everything, everything was normal from the light chit chat to the sounds of laughter. However, Fyodor made a special dessert for the special occasion and of course, their dinner was special too.
"I've made some sugar donuts topped with ice cream for dessert today," Fyodor smiled while placing his special treat in the middle of the table.
Dazai's mouth watered at the smell of the sweet aroma. He was truly a whore for sweets. Dazai took a bite of the donut with a little bit of ice cream on top and he immediately saw stars. "It's absolutely scrumptious!"
"Thank God you like it," Fyodor sighed before laughter erupted from the pit of his belly. "That was my first time making donuts."
"Really?!" Dazai said with a mouth full of donuts. "You did an amazing job Fedya!"
Fyodor paused for a second before he raised his eyebrows with a smirk on his face, "Fedya?"
Dazai gulped, "Sorry! Sorry! I meant Fyodor!"
Fyodor couldn't resist a smile and Dazai couldn't resist a deep red blush. He quite liked the nickname 'Fedya,' mainly because it was his dear lover who came up with it. He had always wanted Dazai to call him by a nickname or a term of endearment instead of his birth name because then that would mean the two were close.
"It's okay, милый. It is a cute nickname," Fyodor laughed.
"Can I—can I call you Fedya then?" Dazai blushed like a pretty red rose.
"Of course, милый."
If Dazai could call Fyodor by a nickname then it wasn't totally fair. Sure, Fyodor called Dazai 'милый' but that was different because it wasn't a variation of his name. The Russian should totally be allowed to call Dazai by a nickname of his own. Or...by a name he already had but not just anyone was allowed to call him it.
