THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SENSITIVE TOPICS. You have been warned.

"Don't you think you should go check on your friend Sasuke?" Mikoto leaned forward in her chair the red tablecloth on her lap fell off to the floor. She positioned herself to where her chest and elbows were on the table. Yet she used to get onto me about that so much as a little kid. And I can't say shit now? So not fair.

Kushina nodded in agreement, "he has been gone for quite a while, and it did take y'all a minute to come back the first time." She had a worried look on her face. Her and Minato did. They knew something I didn't about this situation. This was far more then just dinner.

"I'll go check on him." I stood up from my chair pushing it in as I left. I scanned the hallways just as I did every time I came here as a little kid. The walls were filled with Naruto's old baby pictures, drawings, and a picture of Kushina and Minato when they found out Kushina was pregnant with Naruto. I smiled at the good times presented in front of me.

"Sasuke!" Minato called from the kitchen.

"What's up?" I peaked my head back around.

"If Naruto's done with his dinner. Can you make sure he takes his medicine?" Minato picked up his fork again.

"Sure." I assured and went back.

Meds? I didn't know Naruto took medication in the first place.

I knocked on the bathroom door, "Naruto."

Nothing.

"Naruto can you come out? We're waiting on you."

Nothing.

"Naruto?"

I reached for the door knob which seemed to be unlocked. (I never left the door unlocked when guests were over and even other family. It gave me anxiety of what if someone walked in.) A creak came from the door's hinges as it was being opened. Something stopped me from opening the door all the way but just enough to peak my head through.

"Naruto.?" It sounded more so a whistle then a call. There he laid, crutched up on the bathroom tile floor. The toilet had the contents from his stomach which was mostly just stomach acid, with blood and flower petals. Blood and flower petals? Blood had started to drip from the edge of Naruto's mouth. I looked to my left and there laid—an empty pill bottle.

"How long have you known about his condition?" Itachi put his hand on my shoulder for an effort of comfort without words.

"I've only found out fairly recently."

The hospital gave a stale taste to my lungs. The sounds of beeping machines filled the silence between me and my brother. Naruto's hospital room had an separate area where there was a thick sheet of glass that separated you from them. Almost sound proof. I still had clear view of Naruto but it pained my heart to see him like this.

"Do you love him, Sasuke?" Itachi guided me to one of benches in back of the room that had little tablets on each side with minimal decor.

"I don't know.." I gave an honest. I don't know. Things were just getting started now this? I couldn't understand why I had to find out everything from my own snooping around that Naruto would never forgive me about when he wakes up. Correction if he does. That thought scared me.

"When did you get here Itachi?" I turned to my brother after he had taken his hand off my shoulder.

"Only recently. Mother called me about Naruto and how she thought that you would need me so I took the quickest flight but would cost a pretty penny." He smiled at me.
