Private Talk

     After the cavalry was done, Everyone made their way to the cafeteria to get some food and eat before the final round. However, Shoto took both Izuku and Wendy for a private conversation so nobody else could hear them.

Wendy: "Todoroki, what's this about?"

Izuku: "Yeah, everyone's meeting up in the cafeteria."

Shoto: "I was overwhelmed, and it made me almost break the promise I made to myself a long time ago. None of our Classmates felt it, but when I saw you unleash a strong amount of power. Not only that, but I also felt it. It reminded me of something; Experiencing All Might's Quirk."

     Wendy was worried about what Shoto might have figured out, and asked him just in case.

Wendy: "Okay? Is that all?"

     Shoto then asked Izuku a question that's been on his mind for awhile now. What he was about to ask will confuse them.

Shoto: "I'm saying the power that came from Midorya felt like All Might's. Midorya, tell me,..........Are you really All Might's secret love child or something?"

     That question left both Izuku and Wendy completely stunned and confused.

I+W: "(Am I/Is he...WHAT!?)"

     Eventually, Shoto snapped Izuku out of his thoughts and he responded quickly.

Shoto: "Well, are you?"

Izuku: "UH, NO, NO WAY, THAT'S NOT IT AT ALL! But, I guess even if I was, I'd totally say I wasn't. So, you probably won't believe me no matter what, I bet. Anyway, I promise, you got the wrong idea. Um, why would you even think that about me?"

Shoto: "'That's not it at all' is interesting wording. It suggests that there is something between you 2 that you're not supposed to talk about."

Wendy: "Look, Todoroki, as much as we want to, we can't. If more people knew, it would only bring them into disaster."

     Shoto knew that it was difficult for them to explain the truth, and decides to let it be for now.

Shoto: "I see; My father is the Hero, Endeavor. You must've heard of him. Which means, you're aware that he's the No.2 Hero. So, if Midorya is connected to the No.1 Hero, All Might, in some way, that would mean that I have even more reason to beat you."

     This got him and Wendy both tensed up as to what Shoto might say next.

Shoto: "My old man is ambitious; He aims for the top spot. He used his power to make a name for himself as a Hero, but he was never the best All Might. So, the Symbol of Peace is living proof of his failure. He's still at it though; Trying to take down All Might 1 way or another."

Izuku: "I'm not really sure what you're getting at."

Wendy: "Yeah; What exactly are you trying to tell us, Todoroki?"

     Shoto then looked up at both Izuku and Wendy, and asked them about something important.

Shoto: "Have you ever heard of...'Quirk Marriages'?"

Wendy: "Uh, no; What's that?"

Shoto: "They became a problem in the first few generations after superpowers became widespread. There were those who sought out potential mates solely with the intention of creating powerful children. Many people were forced into relationships. They were simply viewed as old-fashioned arranged marriages, but clearly, it was unethical. My father has not only a rich history of accomplishments, but also plenty of money to throw at his problems. He bought my mother's relatives to get his hands on her Quirk, and now he's raising me to seave All Might."

     This explanation got both of them shocked and scared as he kept going with the problem.

Shoto: "It's so annoying; I refuse to be his tool for that scumbag. In every memory of my mother, I only see her crying. I remembered she called my left side unbearable.....before she spilled boiling water on my face."

     After hearing that, Izuku was stunned and Wendy felt deeply shocked.

Wendy: "(She did that to him!?)"

     Wendy soon finally spoke up, and tries to tell Shoto that it wasn't entirely her fault.

Wendy: "Todoroki, it wasn't even her fault; Endeavor tormented you and your mother for years, and pushed you both through your limits."

Shoto: "I know; You see, I'm going to show him that I reject his power, and I can take first place without using it."

     Izuku just stood there completely shocked and scared after everything Shoto explained to them, and can't help but feel like he understands him.

Izuku: "(The life's he's led is so different than mine. It sounds terrifying; How strange that we can be aiming for the same thing despite such different childhoods.)"

     Shoto then took his leave and made 1 point clear for Izuku to remember.

Shoto: "You're obviously connected to All Might, even if you won't tell me about it. But, no matter how fiercely you come at me in the future, I will defeat you using only my right side. I can assure you of that."

     Wendy wasn't about to let this go on, and talks with Shoto alone. She then made an excuse for Izuku to go prepare for his fight while she stays behind.

Wendy: "Izuku, you better go on ahead for your match; I'll catch up later to watch it."

Izuku: "Alright."

     Izuku then ran back with everyone else to prepare for his match while Wendy stayed behind with Shoto a little bit longer.

Wendy: "Todoroki, wait; Before we head back, I gotta know something."

Shoto: "Alright."

Wendy: "What was your real reason of that declaration of war you made with Izuku?"

Shoto: "The reason I picked a fight against him was to show my old man what I was capable of doing.....without having to rely on his damned fire Quirk."

Wendy: "It's not completely his though anymore."

     After hearing what she said, Shoto asked why Wendy said that.

Shoto: "What do you mean?"

Wendy: "You may be his son, but that doesn't really mean that you're completely like him. That fire power may come from your father, but that's not entirely his anymore. Instead, it's yours now. Whatever people say to compare you from him, scratch that from your brain. What they say don't matter. Not even Endeavor himself. What matters is what you think, and how you want to use your power. Don't let negative thoughts and emotions ware you down."

     After the talk, Wendy returned to the cafeteria to get some food. However, Shoto just stood still after hearing everything she told him and felt amazed.

Shoto: "(Marvell, you're so different from everyone else. Could what you say be true? Damnit, I should apologize to her after the last round's over.)"

     After he had his thoughts sorted out, Shoto returned to the cafeteria and got some food to eat before the last round of 'The Sports Festival'.
