Alev POV

" You don't have to if you don't want to I just wanna know." Adelene told me as a smile came to my face at the fact that she actually cared about my feelings about the whole thing.

" No I'll tell you I don't mind." I told her as she relaxed at my recurrence as we sat in silence before I began to tell the tail.

" I was dreaming of my father." I started calmly as she silently listened unknowing the story that was to come.

" You were crying when I found you so is he dead? Alive? Missing?" She asked curiously making me chuckle a bit.

I guess even vampires are still clueless sometimes, cute. I thought to myself but answered quickly not wanting to aggravate.

" He's alive, just not really...there." i replied as she gave me a confused look.

" Not there?" She asked.

" My father he umm hates me I guess you could say." I explained as her eyes widened.

" Hate you? Why?" She asked again.

" He blames me for my mother's death," I said looking down at my hands as the memories came flushing back to me when I was young.

" But-"

" She died when she gave birth to me and my father couldn't take it so he blamed me for it because I was alive and she died." I explained as she stayed quiet.

" After she died he went down hill for as long as I can remember he was either always gone or drunk."

" He never really talked to me much when I was a kid just maybe a little 'go away' here and there but that was it." I explained as she nodded letting me know she understood.

" As I got older he started to take his anger out on me at first it was a little shove here and there but as time passed he....he um." I stuttered as tears began to fill my eyes as I felt a hand in my arm.

" You don't have to continue if you don't want to." Adelene said softly as she rubbed my arm slowly.

" I want to." I said as she nodded leaving her hand in my arm.

" It-it got worse punching, slapping, kicking, you name it happened but he always made sure not to you know, kill me but it got bad a lot of the times I would either have to hide or run." I explained as her eyes filled with an emotion that I couldn't read.

I continued to look in her eyes maybe I could read it if I tried but as the seconds flew by her words pulled me back to reality.

" Is that how you got here?" She asked as I blinked a bit processing what she asked before replying.

" Yeah, I was running from my father." I replied as her hand stopped rubbing my arm.

" And the blood and such you had on you that was from?" She asked with the same emotion pinned in her eyes.

" From him, yeah." I replied again as she nodded.

" And he did this a lot?" She questioned as I nodded.

" Yeah but don't worry he didn't hurt me that bad or anything just a few bruises on the eyes, a few cuts on the leg, head, and back that's all nothing that can't heal." I said with a smile.

" Just know he can't get you here, your safe here." She said softly as she started to rub my hand again to be honest I liked this I could get used to this.

" Thank you for telling me." She said with a soft smile making my heart flutter.

Her smile could light up a room I thought to myself as my eyes became heavy.

" Go to sleep Alev I'll be right here when you wake up." She whispered softly as my eyes began to close.

" Promise?" I asked making her smile.

" Promise." She reassured as I finally closed my eyes falling into a deep sleep.
