The wind blows right through me as I exit the school building. It's almost October, so the weather's getting cooler.

The unfortunate part is that Giyuu can't drive us home today. He had something to do.

Nezuko's getting a ride with a friend, and she said I could come along, but I declined. I'm okay walking, I think.

"Hey Inosuke!" I run over to the boy with the blue tipped hair.

It's only been a bit less than a month since we met, and yet the days when I called him blue tipped boy still feel so long ago.

"Hey Tanjiro. You heading home?" he asks.

"Actually, no one's driving me today, I thought maybe we could walk together. Your house is in the same direction as mine, right?"

It turns out our houses are in roughly the same direction, so we walk together on the sidewalk next to the bustling street, just chatting about nothing at all.

Eventually we reach a little grassy park, so I suggest we walk through it instead of just walking on the sidewalk.

Inosuke agrees and we just stroll around a bit, watching the birds in the trees and the families walking together. It's nice.

We don't talk, just enjoy each other's company in the peaceful silence that's settled over us.

As we walk along the little path, I catch sight of a small grassy hill just a little bit ahead where a group of kids is playing.

They run and laugh, but one of them falls, landing hard face-first in the grass.

I'm about to go help when another kid beats me to it.

He dashes over, pulling the kid to their feet. He gives them a pat on the head before sending them on their way.

As we get closer, I start to recognize the boy.

He's in our gym class, the same blonde I first encountered on the basketball day.

Zenitsu is his name. I've talked to him on occasion.
