Hey readers, this is a bonus chapter! I wasn't going to publish it, but my close friend Taiga encouraged me to, so here we are! This one will be centric on Nezuko, and her friendship with Mitsuri. I love how Mitsuri is like a big sister to Nezuko, so I wanted to write about it!
Next chapter will still be out tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Nezuko tapped her pencil repeatedly on the side of her notebook, anxiety pooling in her stomach. She checked the clock again. Ten more minutes. She could make it ten more minutes.
The English teacher began discussing the homework at length, only serving to worsen her anxiety. Something made her want to cry, a tight ache in her stomach, in her throat, behind her eyes. It seemed to come from everywhere.
Ten more minutes, hold it together.
Nezuko swallowed thickly as she copied the homework into her planner book, the hand that gripped her pencil shaking slightly as she wrote. Ten minutes felt like an eternity. Something was wrong. She felt sad. She felt wrong. She felt scared. Her throat pained from trying to hold back tears. Her chest was tight.
I want mom. Where's mom?
But Nezuko's mother was so, so far away. The reality of this dropped down on her like a heavy weight. She didn't have a mom. She couldn't get to her. She wanted to look for Tanjiro, or Giyuu, or anyone who could bring her a scrap of comfort, but they were in class as well. She couldn't trouble them.
