After the long journey, we reached his kingdom, Chandragarh.
I peeked out of my carriage to see the people bowing down in respect. The king, queen and the Prince were in front of me. Rest all were behind me.
I was stunned to see the majestic pillars. Though it was not my first visit here, I was roughly five or six when I last visited and never had the chance to see the outside.
We reached the palace and everybody was ready for my welcoming, the queen asked me to stay here with Raj for a moment until we are being called.
I moved out of my carriage and placed the veil above my head, it reached my nose.
Raj stood beside me and we waited.
Just then, he asked me to come. We both started walking together to the gates. The people were welcoming us with flowers and everybody cheered upon my arrival. They sure liked me, their future queen.
I saw the queen, Raj's mother standing on the entrance with oiled earthen lamp to welcome us. All the small rituals were done and now I was asked to walk in after dipping my feet into the red water. I walked through leaving the bright red footprints behind.Raj's sister Adishree took me inside my chamber. She gave me a tour and told me that the Prince quarters were attached to it. I just had to take some turns and I reached a different place. I saw him standing in front of me and said that he knew his sister would make her see this before anything. She sure enjoys hideous things. Adishree made fun of him and said that he wasn't a clean man too.
I was stunned to see the brother sister relationship. Me and my brother had serious talks only and if he got to know any of me secret, he exposed it to my parents without even confronting me.
Adishree left me in his room and went out.
Now Raj and I were alone in his room.
It was my first time being together with him as husband and wife.He came closer to me ,held my hands and said "Thak gyi hongi aap, vastra badal lijie. Waise toh aapko dulhan bana hua hamesha dekh skte hai, pr aaj tang nhi krenge aapko."
I laughed at his words and asked him to take me where my clothes were. I had no idea about the directions. He took me back to my chamber and made me stand in front of the huge mirror.
