"WHAT DID YOU HEAR!!!!!?????!?!?" Sid yelled super loud as he always did.

Childe sat up. "Everything." He said with a wink. "So, what's the truth? Tell me, I don't bite." Childe said.

"Fine." Sid huffed. "I didn't actually make the meth... or sell it."

"Wait... what?" Childe looked shocked. His blue eyes eyes widened.

"Yeah... I was a scapegoat. They said if I didn't comply they'd kill me and my family." Sid looked down in shame.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Childe said accusingly

"..."

silence filled the room again for a time, as Childe realized something. Sid was staring wide eyed at the tiled ground.

"You knew about the witness protection program... right?" Childe asked expectingly.

"..."

"Oh my god." Childe shuddered.

"Not until a year ago..." Sid said in shame.

"Your secret is safe with me, pookie." Childe chirped.

"Don't call me that."

The next day

"Hey. Wake up you silly goose." A voice rang in Sid's ear. It sounded familiar but it wasn't Aakancha's, Connie's, or even Childe's.

He opened his eyes to the fluorescence of the hospital. He had fallen asleep in the room with Childe in a chair. He looked up at the hospital bed. Childe wasn't there.

He felt a tap on his shoulder he looked up to see Paul Blart standing with a clipboard and smiling down at him.

"Paul! What are you doing here!?" Sid exclaimed happily.

The truth was that Paul Blart was the one who arrested Sid. Back when he was a mall cop, he noticed Sid being harassed by a rag tag group of white dudes wearing Cornhusker's corn hats in the back of the Spencer's Gifts. When he confronted the gaggle of Nebraskans, Sid confessed to being a meth dealer and was arrested.

"You know, career paths change. What are you doing walking free?" He inquired inquisitively in an inquisitive manner.

"I got out lol." Sid said.

"That's great where did What's-his-nuts- go?" Paul asked.

"I 🤷‍♂️" Sid emoted.
