Applause, shouts, encouragement, was what was heard in the stands of the Ridgeview High football field. The high school Sharks team opposed the Redwood High Dolphins, which was the opposing high school. A long rivalry had been going on between them for more than 100 years according to the director, who always called the his Sharks honorable, and the Dolphins barbarians. The match was somewhat tied, the Sharks dominated but the others followed closely by 2 points. Team captain Zachariah Martinez, being close to the team ball carrier, ran towards him in an attempt to stop him from approaching their end zone. His action had the consequences of waking up the public, who began to shout his number, his name and encouragement.Near the bar separating the field and the bleachers, a young girl with long brown hair and blonde highlights smiled brightly as she watched the number 1 tackle the ball carrier to the ground, earning points for his team, dominating even more the game. The cheerleaders on the corner sang number 1 in turn, causing the crowd to scream and turn its head towards them. His dark eyes met those of his girlfriend, Alina Morgan, who couldn't get the smile off her face, she was so proud of the one she loved. From a distance, she saw Zachariah come running up and take off his helmet, shaking his damp hair. He smiled at his girlfriend and placed a soft kiss on her lips after putting his hand on the brunette's cheek. She felt her heart explode, she was so in love in such a short time that it scared her but Zach had a way of soothing her. The latter's coach called him back, making him break away from Alina and smile. He couldn't help but smirk when he saw her blush and winked at her before returning to the field for the last few minutes.
The Sharks team, who had unsurprisingly won, screamed as they walked into the locker room and congratulated each other, with the coach looking at them proudly and with what looked like a tear on his cheek. Alina was watching Zach from a distance, not saying anything when his twin, Holly, nudged her. "Hey, instead of looking at him, go see him! Oh, and tell him I'm going home, it makes me sick to see him so happy," she said, a smile on her lips. The brunette in front of her couldn't help laughing, she was strange this Holly. As she was leaving, Alina made her way onto the field, where the players going to the locker rooms began to whistle to annoy their captain. "Hey Zachy, your girl is looking for you!" Lucas, the Captain's former best friend, approached Alina, sweaty and smirking. "He's in the locker room. You can go in there, but it's at your own risk," he said, making the brunette frown. She had never really understood the frenemy relationship between him and Zach, but had never dared to ask questions so as not to remind him of the past.
Leaning against the wall near the locker room, Alina was waiting for the team captain, who was strangely taking a long time, longer than usual. "Howdy, princess" Oh, nevermind. There he was coming out, with his bag, all clean and smiling with his beautiful straight white teeth, to make the models of toothpaste advertisers jealous. "Hey," she replied in a soft voice and smiling till her cheeks cramp, showing her dimples, which her brunette found adorable. "Pizza and movies at your house, huh?" Zach wrapped his arm around the smaller girl's shoulders and smirked at her. "No parties with the team? Any win against the Dolphins is something to celebrate, right?" Usually, the Sharks used every opportunity to party and drink so the captain's proposal was rather surprising. "Yeah, I don't really feel like partying. I'd rather have a better time with my girlfriend watching a movie and eating pizza," the brunette replied, touching his curls with his free hand. He had a white bandana on his head, allowing them to dry faster without tangling but as usual, he couldn't help touching them. A habit that Alina found adorable. "Let's go, then"
