"Coming!" Wearing a white towel around his waist, Lucas Blue yelled into his apartment before opening the door to his house, revealing the person who had been drumming for a while. "Max?" The black haired girl came in again and sat down on the sofa without even designing to glance at the one with whom she had spent the night. "Look, um, my mom and my sister are coming, -" he was interrupted by Maxine, who didn't even turn, staring at the floor, or the wall. "Great, I'll greet them while you put on some clothes," she said, still not looking at the blonde, who stroked his buzz cut. He didn't particularly have a problem introducing Maxine to his family, but it was something very intimate, very couple-ish and he knew that wasn't what the black haired wanted. Maxine didn't like him, unlike him, she used him to vent her frustration, to escape, no, to have fun, for a short time. And maybe even when they slept together, she thought about Zachariah, that was one of the blond's biggest fears. However, he couldn't bring himself to stop what they had, he couldn't listen to his reason and admit that this so-called relationship was poisoning him. Maxine Miller was a magnet, she attracted Lucas effortlessly without him being able to detach himself from her. "Why you still here, pal? Want them to see you like that and think things?" The voice of the black haired made me come out of his thoughts and sigh before he joined his room.At the same time, the bell rang again, announcing the arrival of Lucas' family. Well, his sister, alone. "Who are you?" Her almost insulting tone irritated the black haired girl's ears but she refrained from talking badly to her. "Maxine, a friend of Lucas. I guess you're his sister, you both have the same eyes," she said with a fake smile. "Um, yeah, Alice. He didn't tell us his friend was going to be there, we would've came another day," she replied, removing her coat and walking into the apartment, letting Max meet the gaze of an older but more tender woman. She had long, wavy blonde hair, covering her right shoulder, beautiful hazel eyes, a straight nose and pale pink lips. Her face was only slightly stricken with old age and her body looked just as fit in her straight red pants and black mesh blouse, stunning the black haired. Damn, she couldn't help thinking. "Hello, darling. You're gorgeous, my son has amazing taste. It probably comes from his dad," she said, laughing smartly and brushing her hair back. Maxine smirked then closed the door behind her before sitting down with the two women. "So, tell me more about you, my dear," Lucas' mom said looking at the black haired. This one being in front of her looked her in the eye with a smirk and then answered. "What do you want to talk about? I'm just a friend of your son, -" The oldest cut her off. "Oh please, sweetheart, i know my son. I know perfectly well that this young man can't just be friends with you"
"Zach!" The coach's voice resounded brutally in the curly's head and he came to his senses before refocusing on training. As he went to take the ball, Zachariah was brutally tackled to the ground, causing him to groan. "Zach, get your shit together and stay focused!" The coach yelled from the bleachers, making the curly huff. The one who had knocked him to the ground, Oliver, straightened up and held out his hand to his best friend before helping him up. "Z, what's up? You're not focused on the game, buddy. We have a rematch against the dolphins, you have to get your shit together," said the light-skinned, worried for his best friend. "I don't know, I can't think about training. I think, I think I need to rest" The words had barely had time to come out of his mouth, when their trainer abruptly interrupted him to yell at him. "Martinez! I don't know what's wrong and I don't want to know. You are the captain of this team because you play perfectly and you have leadership qualities, so why are you neither in cohesion with the team, nor with your body, today?" Zachariah frowned and gave his sidekick a look of distress before giving Coach an answer. "Look, Coach, Zach's mind is elsewhere because of his twin. You know Holly, right? He's worried about her because you know she has... she has, um, you know, um,..." It was Oliver's turn to give the curly look of distress, which quickly resumed. "Anyways, um,, I promise you, it's a one-time thing, I'll never be distracted like today again. I just need to rest for a few minutes and come back to crush everything on the field. By the game against the dolphins, I'll be fully focused and we'll destroy them, as always" The words of the curly seemed to have calmed the coach since he had started to laugh like a maniac before leaving towards the bleachers. Oliver White then turned his head towards Zach, arms folded and an annoyed look on his face. "That's the last time we'll use your sister's health for such a stupid shit," he said, making his best friend nod. "I know, I hate doing this" A short silence took place before the light-skinned spoke again. "Honestly, what's going on with you, Zach? You're, like, so not into the game today" The brunette bit his lip then sighed before answering softly. "I have no idea"
