After being passed out for hours the girl finally woke up. finally getting to her senses she looked around it wasn't her house?? Her parents weren't also in view which scared her more than the fact that they were here. The house looked pretty clean, there was this weird fragrance in the air and also the smell of food.... mouth-watering food on top. She tried to get up which grabbed the attention of the male in the kitchen, he heard shifting noises as a small head rose behind the sofa...she looked like she wanted to ask something but decided against it. Kazuki felt a bit hesitant because she was different from Miri....Miri was always so bright and talkative whereas this girl was the opposite not that he minded he was just sad about the things she went through. "What's your name?" "...." "Hai you may feel weird around me...it's obvious umm how old are you tho?" The girl again didn't answer as she just lowered her head, she wanted to speak but her voice didn't seem to emerge. She looked at Kazuki again hoping he would get the signal that she is not ready to talk now. And he did. He didn't push the matter further about asking her anything personal until she is free with them. He stared at the girl, she was mostly covered in bandages, and every visible place at least had some burn or bruise. Not gonna lie he even cried during the first aid while rei was mentally done with him.
"Would you like some snacks?" Kazuki asked not expecting any reply from the small girl but to his surprise, a small voice was heard.
" Egg "
"Egg??? You like eggs" Kazuki asked as he started picking some eggs to make an omelet. The girl just nodded to his question as she stood in front of him with her head down. Kazuki quickly made a very luscious omelet (he is surely a good cook) and presented it before the timid girl. he placed the food on the dining table as he carried the girl. at first, she flinched because of the sudden movement but later relaxed seeing the omelet on the table. Kazuki screamed a name that y/n didn't hear because all she was able to think of was the egg dish on the plate. after 2 minutes a man with long black hair sat beside her, surprising her not that she minded.
" y/n this is rei, he would also be living here," Kazuki said as a visible irk was seen on rei's forehead.
" would also be living here? I live here " rei said as he gopped down the hot omelet
" hai sorry sorry so y/n-" Kazuki was about to finish his sentence as he turned his eyes towards now the empty chair
"y/n?"
the girl was now looking towards a ball .... a purple ball. kazuki bent down to her level as he passed the ball to the younger girl. and for the first time, she didn't flinch but actually picked it up, she kicked the ball back. the blond guy was happy that y/n was mixing up finally
he was happier that she found something she liked. the ball now ended up at rei's feet as he passed it back to her. they went on and on until the girl was tired and slept. she dozed on the floor as Kazuki picked her up and lay on the sofa.
"she likes balls," rei said anonymously, but after seeing Kazuki's face he did
regretted what he said.
" not in that way baka" "I know I know .....she did eat her whole omelet ...she likes eggs too noted." the blond guy said as he started picking up the plates. rei stood there before the sofa watching the small girl snoring. but suddenly after some time, the girl started wailing in her dreams, small tears passed down her cheeks as she started breathing heavily. both of the men got alerted as rei tried to wake her up from her nightmare. he picked her up and rubbed her back slowly , trying to make her feel protected. the girl unknowingly snuggled towards rei trying to absorb his body heat.
the black-haired man cradled the young girl for five minutes but when he was about to put her down she tightened her grip on his shirt, not letting him go. looking at this rei sighed as he also snuggled on the sofa sleeping beside him. while his arms wrapped around her small body protecting it from any danger.
after half an hour of cleaning the kitchen, Kazuki came back to check on both of his babies only to find them cuddled into each other. he swear he melted at the sight. he quickly took out his camera and captured their first day together.
this girl was going to change their life he knew it, may it be for good or for bad he didn't care.
