its been a week since the small girl landed in their house, and the boys had few things clear
1. she loves food overall and is a big foodie.
2. never let her near broken glass , she hyperventilate.
3. she stays happy if you play ball with her.
4. to make her sleep you have to craddle her and that's it
5. also ... she likes the color purple.
y/n have also got used to them now, knowing they aren't going to hurt her made her at peace. she grew to like both of the adults, she was yet to be comfortable with them but she actually made progress. she was now more confident in saying words tho still they were only few sentences, she still tried to speak her mind.
All throughout the week, she learned about her new family, kazuki loved to cook for her and gave best hugs , and rei he was more silent one , who loved video games and taught her many ways to 'chill around in house.'
and today they were going on a new adventure....yups getting y/n home supplies , unlike miri y/n never actually came up with a whole package , she didn't have clothes or even toothbrush. now that it was decided she was going to live with them they actually need her basic needs stuff.both of the adults decided to have a shopping loot.
after eating cereals and an omelet for breakfast kazuki got y/n ready in one of miri's old shirt (ik it hurts T_T) rei tried to make her hairs which actually didn't result good...... kazuki tried too but they knew it was above them , so they let her hair open. it wasn't a sunny day , fuck it was actually a dark rainy day (yups a perfect weather for homicide jk jk). they all soon dropped off at the mall. neither kazuki aur rei hold the younger child's hand just in case she might get startled or fear them , they wanted to give her space untill she felt ready to accept them and they were hella ready to wait. but the young girl thought differently of course no one ever held her hand so it was a bit hesitant but after seeing so many people in the same place she got scared, what if she got lost? she slowly let her hand hold the pinky of each men, she hesitantly held their fingers as if she was doing any crime or something she shouldn't do, she looked at them trying to figure if they were mad or something but relieved when they didn't show any bad reaction to her touch, kazuki help her hand more firmly and warmly , as they happily walked towards their first destination, clothes.
and just after some time it was damn clear not to let kazuki do girl's shopping cause he just bought everything y/n set her eyes on. he made her trial literally everydress , his shopping started from pjs to the princess dress he never knew he gonna need. rei was mentally done with kazuki he could've did anything to get away with his hyper reaction to clothes but it would be a lie if you would say rei wasn't getting intruid in this new game. he never thought there were so many variety to clothings , everytime y/n came out of the dressing room both of them gushed over how pretty she looked. (secondly embarrassed because of the ladies present there but they were adamant to leave ). after buying like the entire store they went to there next destination that was toys. they certainly didn't knew what kind of toys they could buy for y/n as all she played with were balls. they let her roam through the entire store trying to deduct what she would've liked , in the end she stood before the stuff toys section as certain monkey captured her eye, he was all sparkly and filled with gliter , he was twice longer than y/n but the most prominent thing about him was , it was purple. the whole body was covered with heavy purple hue and the ears were light purple. if anything could be said for sure was that it was ugly. it was no cap , was the most weirdest stuff toy in the whole store. ofcourse y/n had a questionable taste but this much they didn't expect. but now that y/n asked them for this how could they would've rejected . they ended up buying it and also few other stuff just in case in future y/n realises it that he looks ugly. getting off the store y/n held the monkey all way down to home never leaving him out of sight and because of his overly length and y/n's short length, the monkey was dragged. after being done with their shopping and spending half of their fortune they ended up in the food court. y/n and rei sat there silently in the corner as kazuki went to order.
on the table it was utter silence there was not even a single word expressed from their mouth it was not an uncomfortable silence but rather a silence where they enjoyed each other's company . rei noticed how y/n was continuously staring at the table beside them , it was a girl with her mother as she was feeding her and wiping extra cream off her mouth. rei felt something weird in his chest as if he was not enough for y/n he wanted to comfort her and hug her but he knew she needed time to adjust and he respected it . soon kazuki came back with food , a whole tray of egg snacks and 2 burgers. the small girl's eye lightened at the sight of eggs. she started to dig into her food as she stopped mid way staring at both the adults in front of her. she was hesitant at first but she raised her spoon towards them indicating to eat with her. rei felt overwhelmed with this small gesture , he ate from the spoon she gave as he was about to sit back down again y/n wiped something off his face and sit back normally. rei realised that y/n wasn't feeling jealousy by the duo beside their table , she was actually feeling bad about how she wasn't enough for them. it broke rei's heart to keep himself in her position. he uttered her a small thank you while the dinner went on smoothly kazuki joked all the time rei ended up zoning out while y/n halfly listened to kazuki while half of her attention was on egg dishes before her. tired and exhausted 3 of them went back to the car to drive home back but when they reached they found y/n already asleep on the backseat . kazuki picked her up while rei brought the shopping bags back . kazuki let y/n sleep on his bed as he slept on the couch for that night.
