Dark storm clouds continued to rain hell down upon the Dragon Realms as Ignitus, Spyro and Cynder gathered together in Warfang, looking out to the Burned Lands as they knew what awaited them there. The final confrontation against Malefor, the first purple dragon that was ever born into this world. A malevolent force that is still threatening the entire world.
"Damnit. We have to hurry. The Destroyer is still moving, and we cannot allow it to complete the Ring of Annihilation, or our entire world is doomed." Spyro roared in frustration as he looked back at the fiery trails the monster was leaving behind in its wake.
"That's right, Spyro. But it's up to you and Cynder to fight and kill Malefor. The rest of us will ambush the Destroyer near the end of its journey. However, I will transport both of you to the Burned Lands through the Belt of Fire." Ignitus replied as Spyro and Cynder nodded, hoping that Sparx would be fine on his own as he transported the residents of Warfang to the Underground City.
"Understood. Let's move." Cynder replied as the three dragons began to fly in the air towards the scorching hot flames of the Belt of Fire, prepared to fight until the very end to preserve their world's future, even at the cost of their own lives.

The trip through the Belt of Fire was arduous and agonizingly painful, however, Spyro and Cynder survived the trip with Ignitus's help, however, the Fire Guardian died in the process as a self sacrifice, leaving Spyro and Cynder to continue their mission to save the entire world together, trekking through the Burned Lands as they fought any and all monsters that they came across, slowly getting closer to the volcano that Malefor was likely at.
"Keep moving, Spyro! We don't have time to waste!" Cynder shouted as she launched a blast of Fear magic out of her mouth at a hostile Wyvern, sending it down to the ground as Spyro flew up and bit into its neck, sending its blood everywhere as Spyro killed it.
"Got it, Cynder! I'll go on ahead!" Spyro yelled as he ripped his jaw out of the Wyvern's neck, sending it down to the scorched rock below as he flew ahead. His destiny as the latest purple dragon was to stop Malefor and prevent the Great Cleansing. And Spyro would succeed in fulfilling his destiny, no matter what it takes.
"Stay safe, Spyro! I'll be right behind you! We will save our world, no matter what it takes!" Cynder shouted as she shot several blasts of poison magic at the Wyverns that were attacking her, forcing them to flee. She could handle herself in this fight. Spyro had to focus on defeating Malefor before the Destroyer finished its march around the world. The intense heat continued to cut against Spyro's scales, however, his and Cynder's resolves would not be shattered, no matter what.
For Spyro, this fight meant far more than just fulfilling some destiny that was laid out for him, he had to do this for every single one of Malefor's victims. The malevolent force either has to be killed or banished, but no matter what, he has to be taken out of the picture or the Destroyer would not be stopped, not by the army that's ready to ambush it, not by anyone. And for Cynder, she was doing this not only to help Spyro, but to save the entire world and get revenge on Malefor. Multiple years ago now, she was stolen from the Dragon Temple in the dead of night as an egg, and many other dragon eggs were destroyed by the Apes, led by Gaul the Ape King, and ordered by Malefor.
For so many years after that, Cynder was forced to commit atrocity after atrocity by Malefor to assist with him accomplishing his plans, and the horrific reputation she gained from that time still haunts her to this day. Malefor must die for the sake of the Dragon Realms and their future, so that future generations could prosper without the looming threat of vicious wars over their heads every single waking moment.
