"So, what should we do?" Dazai asked as the two walked in their dorm. The two had to sneak out while the teachers were too busy and could only hope no one noticed that they left. "I'm bored. There's nothing to do."
"I don't know, it was your damn idea. Figure it out yourself," Chuuya bitterly replied.
"You agreed to skip with me, though!" Dazai pouted, talking in an overly whiny tone. "You should be nicer to me, you're so mean!"
"Yeah, I agreed after you begged me to!" Chuuya defended himself, making the brunette roll his eyes.
As much as he did actually really like skipping with the brunette, he would refuse to admit it. He was stubborn as ever.
On the other hand, Dazai wasn't necessarily skipping because he disliked PE, but because he wanted more alone time with Chuuya. It was like there was always something interrupting the two and he never got to be alone with the ginger for longer than a minute, and that honestly pissed him off.
Dazai was about to reply, until somebody knocked on their door a couple times. They both shot their head to the door and looked at each other with the same look of horror, fearing that it could've been a teacher who caught them skipping.
"...You go open it," Dazai said, breaking the short silence.
"Me?! You do it! You're the man!" Chuuya argued, refusing to open the door. "I'm the new one to this damn school, I'm not doing it!"
"When the hell have I been the man?!" Dazai argued back. "You're the one who swears on his damn mom that he could beat anyone in this school's ass even though he can't, so you do it! If you're really so badass!"
"Who the hell said I can't beat your ass?!" Chuuya asked, clenching his fists to pounce at Dazai. "I'll beat the shit out of you, punk—"
A couple more knocks cut him off.
Dazai gave him that demanding look, which Chuuya hated. He didn't feel he could argue anymore. He whined as he went to go to the door, in complete submission to the older.
Once he opened it, it revealed...
"Oh, Mr. Janitor?" Dazai asked, peeping his head out to take a better look. He was confused to why the familiar old man was there. "What do you need?"
"Ah, sorry, boys," the old man chuckled, putting down his cleaning supplies. "I'm here to clean the dorms right now. Aren't ya two supposed to be in class right now?"
"Oh, class?" Dazai nervously laughed. "Uh, about class... I'm helping the new student, Chuuya, over here, so we had to stay in the dorm so I could help him. I t-tutor him...?"
Chuuya stared at the ground, snickering. What a lame excuse. "Pft, yeah, tutoring..."
"Ah, I see... Alright then," the old man smiled at them, creasing his wrinkles. "do you mind if I intrude a little to clean up?"
Chuuya quickly stopped him before he was able to walk in the dorm. "Oh no, It's fine! You should just relax, we can clean up ourselves. Don't worry about that."
Dazai watched, noticing that Chuuya seemingly talked to the old man way nicer than he would with anyone else. The brunette smirked and remembered that Chuuya wasn't the type to be nice to others so easily.
So he's actually nice and caring with old people, huh? That's cute of him.
I wish you were that sweet to me, chibi.
"Oh, it's alright," the janitor insisted. "this is my job, after all... If these truly are my last few years alive, I'd rather help people while I'm still around."
