This is uncommon among the fandom because..... well idk. But here they are just colleges, because just because they happened to all share the rank of hashira doesnt mean they have to be friends.
They do respect each other tho

basically everyone is the same but they dont really speak to each other unless they run into each other or it is needed
when they run into each other it is normally just a small greeting accompanied by a small bow out of respect.
but their are some exceptions
like sin-obu and giy-who.
shinobu says her greeting and bow in a playful teasing tone ment to annoy giyuu while he just straight up ignores her. Ya know, the usual?
and like iguro and mitsuri or rengoku and mitsuri
iguro obviously likes mitsuri and mitsuri hangs out with him after him trying to get close to her.
Rengoku is just mitsuri's mentor so the obv are close🙄🤚
