It's been 3 months since I've moved to New York and I've grown ALOT. I got a job working at a local Nordstrom as a fashion consultant. I'm now 4 months pregnant, but I look about 6 months. I sat in the waiting room at the OB/GYN alone once again as I waited for my name to be called. "Ms. Davis" the nurse called and directed to me to the examination room. "Lay back on the table and the doctor will be with you shortly" she stated as she left the room. I rubbed my stomach with one hand and texted my new found friend Stephanie with the other. We met the 1st week of me being in New York. I was glad I found a friend because it was becoming boring being alone all the time.
"How are you feeling Ms. Davis?" my doctor Dr. Fields walked in
"Fine how about you." I replied.
He said he was great and moved on to our regular routine. He put the cold gel on my well rounded stomach and used the camera to find the belly. He started small talk.
"Would you like to know the gender of your baby?" I nodded and looked on the screen. "It's a...BOY!" The rim of my eyes filled with tears of joy. He discussed a few important things and scheduled my next appointment. My phone rang...
"Hello?"
"Hey girly its Steph"
"Oh. I was just about to call you to tell you to meet me at Giggle. The baby store on Wooster in about 30 minutes"
"Sure. I'll be there. See you then."
I hung up and made my way to the store.
Me and Steph picked up some baby products and walked towards the furniture and clothes.
"I was thinking a jungle themed roomed for my baby boy" I smiled hoping she would get the hint.
"OH MY GOSH! Auntie's little boy. I'm going to spoil him rotten and buy him everything he wants" she kept kissing my belly as I laughed.
"I was thinking I should have a gender reveal party since you're the only one that knows that he's a boy right now"
"I'm down for whatever" she said while doing a dance.
