Namiko
"Nami!" I heard my father's voice boom from downstairs. I rolled over without bothering to respond to his yells. "Namiko Soliel Davis I know you hear me." By this time I knew not to continue to ignore him even though I was too tired to be bothered with his nonsense. He burst through door lecturing me about how I need to remove myself from my bed like normal people since it was 1:30 in the afternoon. As much as I wanted to keep my warm plush bed company, I arose from my turquoise sheets, still dressed in the outfit that I wore out with Miliano. I didn't understand my father's logic since there was nothing scheduled for me to do today. I decided to call Miliano to thank him once again for the amazing dinner "date". We ended up arranging another meet up, but this time it would be more formal. My heart fluttered at the idea of seeing him again and raced even more at the thought of me being a little rebellious for the first time in my life. I was beginning to think that I had a thing for Miliano.

MilianoOnce again I ended up opening up my feelings to Namiko. It's something about her. She's different and I like that about her. She's so easy to talk to and she's one hell of a listener.
I pulled up to my mother's Victorian styled house. I decided to tell her about the girl that's been running through my mind nonstop. I sniffed the sweet aroma of habichuelas con dulce as I entered the house and made my way to the kitchen. I came to the conclusion she was home because of the sound of banging pots and Latin music. As I entered the kitchen my mother jumped seeming to be startled upon my arrival.
"Hey baby" she spoke in her soft voice that was cloaked with her thick accent.
"How are you?" She continued. I told her how I was and jumped right to the reason I was there.
"Mama I started talking the girl right" I began not knowing what to tell her next.
"She's real beautiful and she's different. And she not like the rest of these hoes." I tensed up knowing she was about to hit me, hard. I was surprised when she just continued nodding her head as she wanted me to finish what I was saying.
"But the only thing is she's boss man's daughter. I can't help but to have these feeling towards her ma." I was really confused when she started to applaud as if she was at some kind of show.
"'Bout time you show some feelings towards these girls" she responded. "I was beginning to think that you'd think every girl was a hoe."
