" Ned, you're back!"
Ned Stark looked away from the stable boy he'd just handed his horse off to, his eyes on his wife that were dressed in a deep burgundy dress with a brown woolen cloak with tan fur trimmings hanging around her shoulders.
He stood waiting for her until she reached him, his arms moving to embrace her, his face burying into her sweet smelling hair.
For a moment he just stood there, holding her, then he pulled back slightly to look down at her.
Gods, she is beautiful, he thought as he studied her familiar face.
" Did something happen?," she asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.
" Aye, but we can discuss it later." He held onto her as they walked across the courtyard to the keep, his arm firmly wrapped around her waist.
Robb walked past them, carrying two wolf pups, a smile on his lips. One was grey and the other was the one with the red fur.
" Is that really wolf pups?," Vhaenessa asked.
" Yes," was all he said as he guided her into the keep.
He lead her directly to their bed chambers. She'd never had her own. She never wanted her own. It suited him. He wanted her close by when he slept at night.
He shut the door and locked it as he quickly assured her inside, his lips immediately crashing onto hers once his task was done.
She didn't resist him, her lips moving with his, hands tangling in his hair.
There was a hunger in him, to taste her soft lips, to hold her close to him. He needed this after what he had to do to the deserter and after seeing the dead stag and the direwolf.
He guided her to the bed, without removing his lips from hers, laying her down on the bed a little clumsily, but she didn't seem to care as their lips still moved together.
It was only when he moved his hands to the hem of her dress to pull it up, that she resisted, managing to pull away from him.
" Ned, we can't," she protested breathlessly.
He growled lightly, but sat up , composing himself. " Why?," he simply asked after a moment.
" Some of your bannermen arrived when you were gone. Lord Manderly and, I think, Lord Reed are amongst them."
He stared at her for a few seconds, his eyes hungrily roaming over her flushed face, her neck, her cleavage.
He swallowed, nodding as he stood. "I'll go talk to them." He looked at her and wagged a finger at her. "This isn't over yet. I'm going to make you scream my name tonight, my dearest lady wife. Be sure of it."
With that, he walked towards the door to unlock it and Vhaenessa sighed softly. She didn't doubt his words, he will make her scream his name because he was very good at it.

" Mother, this is father's wolf," Robb spoke, walking into the bedchamber a few minutes after Ned had left. The boy held a red furred wolf out to her. " He doesn't have a name yet," he stated as she took the pup from him.
" Where'd you get them?," she asked as she cradled the wolf against her chest.
"In the Wolfswood. Their mother were dead, killed by the antler of a stag through her throat."
Vhaenessa felt a chill run down her spine at those words. She wasn't prone to believe in superstitions and bad omens, but a direwolf killed by a stag....
She looked down at the pup. " Poor babe. Don't worry, we'll take good care of you," she cooed. Then she looked at her son. "You had another one earlier also, how many are there?"
