I gasped when started to shake his body. Mom and unnie was also trying to wake him up but it was of no use. His nose and the corner of his lips were bleeding and punch marks were there on his cheeks.
Mrs. Shin: Iseul go fast, call the doctor please.
Unnie nodded and limped towards her room and she called the doctor. Till then mom and I laid dad on the couch. He was unconscious. The doctor arrived after 20 minutes and examined him.
We three ladies were waiting outside. I was pressing the ice pack on unnie's cheek. She was hissing.
"Unnie does that hurts so bad ?"
She nodded. I sighed and gently did my thing. My mom was walking back and forth infront of their bedroom where the doctor asked to examine dad. He said he should be laid on the bed. It would be more comfortable than the couch.
After 10 minutes the door and doctor came out and closed the door behind him. Mom and I went near him and asked about dad.
Dr.: Mrs. Shin, Mr. Shin is not okay. There can be internal bleeding in his body. He needs to be admitted in the hospital as soon as possible. A pair of his ribs seems to be broken as that area is so red along with his forearm ulna bone should be checked too and this all need to be operated.
Hearing this, my mom just lost her balance but I held her. She gasped and started to cry. I looked up at the doctor and thanked him and he called the ambulance.
Iseul: Mom you please stay at home, me and Y/N will be going to the hospital with dad.
Mom was just crying. I and unnie looked at each other than slowly we held her and took her inside her room and consoled her.
"Mom please be strong, nothing will happen to dad, trust me."
Iseul: Yes mom, we will do something lemme call-
Mrs. Shin: No I-Iseul please don't call your husband. Don't pull him in this matter. U belong to his family now, it was our responsibility to protect and take care of you when in your husband's absence. What will we say to your in laws and son Lee. Next we heard the ambulance siren. Mom didn't said anything and nodded. She looked at dad and caressed his arm. The hospital wardboys came inside the room with a stretcher followed by the Doctor. They took dad with them, I brought unnie's wallet and we went with them.

Unnie was getting her checkup done as she got hurt too. I thought of informing this to my brother in law but I was scared, so I thought I'll ask unnie forst and then think to call him because I know she doesn't want him to be worried for her.
We admitted dad just an hour ago, he was unconscious and yhe doctors were checking testing him. I was waiting outside the cabin inside which unnie was. She came out and I stood up and thanked the nurse ma'am, she smiled at me and asked me to take care for unnie and then she went.

"Unnie the doctors are still inside, we have to wait outside for a while more, they said.
