Laughter and soft cries echoed through the Park mansion. Mrs. Park was chasing her grandson, Jihun, who was four years old. The little boy was refusing to eat lunch, insisting that his mother feed him. His mother had promised to do so but had been called away for an emergency surgery. Jihun's father was too busy to attend to him, and the boy was feeling neglected and upset.
Jihun: N-no.. I want m-umma...
Jihun sobbed, pushing away the toys scattered around his room. Mrs. Park felt a pang of sympathy for her grandson. Even when Jimin was young, Mr. Park had made an effort to be present in his son's life. Perhaps that's why Jimin, despite his success as a businessman and mafia leader, struggled to be a good father to his own son.
Jihun was born two years after Jimin and YN's marriage. Jimin's increasing responsibilities as a leader had led him to neglect his family. YN, a successful surgeon, always tried to balance her career with her family life. However, Jimin's frequent absences and aggressive behavior had put a strain on their relationship. YN remained patient and understanding, trying to maintain peace for the sake of their son.
"Your mother will be back this evening, my son," Mrs. Park pleaded, coaxing Jihun to eat his lunch. The boy reluctantly agreed, but his tears continued to flow. As soon as he finished eating, Jihun fell asleep, exhausted from his emotional outburst.
Mrs. Park sent a message to YN, informing her that Jihun had finally eaten and was asleep. She knew YN must be worried, especially since she had had to leave while preparing lunch and in front of Jihun, who had been crying for his mother.
Meanwhile
Jimin was finalizing a business deal with a new investor. Taehyung, noticing the missed calls from Mrs. Park and YN, couldn't help but worry about Jimin's family. Taehyung, Jimin's best friend and right-hand man, was deeply concerned about him. He knew Jimin's demanding schedule and how difficult it was for him to balance his work and personal life. Taehyung himself struggled to find time for his fiancée, but he made a conscious effort to prioritize their relationship. Jungkook, on the other hand, was married with a two-year-old daughter. He could never bear to see his little girl cry because of his absence. In the past, Jungkook's frequent absences during meetings and missions had led to arguments between him and Jimin.
As the investors left, Taehyung approached Jimin. "Jimin, YN and your aunt have been trying to reach you for over an hour. You should at least call them back. Jihun was-"
"Tae, I'm busy right now," Jimin interrupted, his voice firm. "I have work to attend to. I'll see them all at home. And you should focus on our deals with the Austrian mafia."
Taehyung was taken aback by Jimin's dismissive attitude. "He won't understand, Tae," Jungkook interjected sarcastically. "Leave him alone. When he loses them, he'll realize their true value."
Jimin's eyes narrowed at Jungkook's mocking tone. His anger was evident, and the tension in the room was palpable.
