The plane touched down at Incheon International Airport, pulling Y/N back to a reality that felt suffocating. A week had crawled by, each day a silent battle between her and Jimin. She was a ghost haunting the same space as him, her voice stolen, replaced by a deafening silence. Wherever he took her, she followed, a wordless automaton. Taehyung and Jungkook remained in Canada, tying up loose ends and promising to be back by nightfall.

The drive back to the Park mansion was, unsurprisingly, silent. Jimin, fueled by a delusional hope, believed seeing her family would ease her mind. Now that his problem - Sarah - was dead, he clung to the illusion that everything could be fixed. The lie, however, remained, a festering wound in Y/N's heart.

He parked the car, and Mrs. Park materialized at the door, relief washing over her features. She enfolded Y/N in a hug, her touch a stark contrast to the chilling emptiness that had become Jimin's embrace. Tears glistened in her eyes - tears she couldn't shed when informed of Jimin's "unexpected mission."

"My Jimin," she crooned, her voice thick with concern. She reached up, her fingers brushing against a fresh scratch on his jaw. Jimin flinched, and the sight ignited a fresh wave of worry. "Come inside, both of you," she insisted, bustling towards the kitchen to call her husband.

Mr. Park soon joined them, his greeting a mix of relief and fatherly affection. He, unlike his wife, held the weight of the truth. Jimin, forced to come clean, had revealed his secret - the mafia legacy he was still heir to, the reason for the sudden trip. The announcement of his succession, however, was still months away.

Throughout the interaction, Y/N remained a silent observer. Her stillness confused Mrs. Park, who, thankfully, remained blissfully unaware of the kidnapping and assault. Keeping Y/N in the dark was a decision made to avoid unnecessary panic, but the silence hung heavy in the air.

Finally, Mrs. Park broke the quiet. "Y/N, dear, are you alright? You seem very quiet."

Y/N's gaze drifted to Jimin, who was deep in conversation with his father. The urge to spill the truth, to expose the monstrous side of her husband, gnawed at her. But revenge wasn't her way. She wouldn't stoop to his level, wouldn't hurt an innocent bystander.

With a slight shake of her head, she managed a raspy whisper, "N-no, Mom, I'm just tired."

The answer, short and sweet, seemed to appease Mrs. Park. She ushered Y/N back to Jimin's room for some rest before heading back downstairs. The moment the door closed behind them, Y/N crumpled onto the bed, burying her face in the soft fabric. A torrent of tears streamed down her face, each one a silent scream of betrayal and heartache. Her husband, the man she'd trusted, had cheated on her, and worse, had the audacity to confess it like a twisted justification.

Downstairs, the air crackled with tension. Mr. Park leaned back in his chair, a contemplative frown etching his features. "So, it's done?" he finally asked.

Jimin nodded curtly. "Yes, Dad. She's gone."

Relief washed over Mr. Park. "Good. Hyejin was Choi's biggest leverage against us. Now, he has nothing."

"But Dad," Jimin started, his voice laced with a hint of guilt, "she caused a misunderstanding between Y/N and me..."

The sentence died on his lips as Mrs. Park materialized in the doorway, her face a mask of fury. She'd caught the tail end of their conversation.

"Hyejin caused a misunderstanding?" she thundered, her voice laced with ice. "How?"

Jimin and his father exchanged a panicked glance. They hadn't meant for her to hear. Mrs. Park, ever perceptive, narrowed her eyes at her son. She knew his history with honesty, especially when it came to matters of the heart. Her gaze hardened like flint. "You did something, didn't you, Jimin?" she accused, her voice low and dangerous.
