Sunny's Guilt. (A Sunburn Angst fanfiction)

The Aftermath Of The Truth.

A Month had passed Since Sunny Told Everyone the TRUTH of Mari's death.

A lot has changed since then.

AUBREY had spent a lot more time with her friends the Hooligans since then. She didn't know it herself but she was just trying to distract herself from what really happened...

When she WAS home in the time she had in her room which it wasn't like she wouldn't have any time since her mother didn't really care

She always pondered at the ceiling thinking about SUNNY although she didn't want to admit it....even after all he told them she missed him....she missed him a lot....

"I'm sorry Sunny...." she mumbled to herself. Maybe I should've said something to help you then....

She smiled only a tiny bit...but she decided maybe she should try in some way to contact him.

Guess I should ask Kel for his phone number he would know since he and Sunny were close friends....which AUBREY groaned at. Kel was one of the last people she'd wanna ask for something like that from but whatever beggars can't be choosers.

Hero on the other hand, at first reverted to his depression state and didn't leave the house for a bit.....

But after 2 days later he remembered what happened last time he was like this....he hurt his own brother....

Hero then got up and started focusing on other things. He and Kel's parents asked if anything was wrong...he lied and said that just a lot was on his mind...which was partially true.

Most of the time he spent a lot more time with Kel and their parents. Even got back into cooking for them quite a bit again. Which Kel really enjoyed personally and said that Hero could probably be the best cook in the world (as usual he praised his big brother a bit too much than necessary)

But...when he wasn't home he was visiting Mari's grave at church...which was what he was doing today. Even Kel had joined him this time.

"Hey Mari....It's me again...Hero...and...Kel is here too..."

Kel said nothing but waited for hero to continue.

"Well....I'm pretty sure you know by now but...Sunny had told us what really happened that night..."

Kel looked worried at his older brother only whispering: "bro....if you need to cry it's ok I'm here..."

...Hero did look like he was going to cry but he took a deep breath and said

"No kel....I-I'm ok...

....Mari I just don't understand...why oh why....did things have to turn out this way?!?"

Kel just looked down in sorrow. He too wished things could've turned out better or differently...anyone would...but this is how things turned out.

Hero knelt down in front of Mari's grave placing more flowers there.

Even though he knew he would never get the answers to his questions he still asked

"WHY?!? Why did Sunny do it?!? Why did Basil do that?!? Why did things have to end up this way?!? I know Sunny's my friend...and he was your brother....A part of me thinks I should hate him....yet....He's still my friend he's still your brother.....I'm just so confused....I just....hope I can find out what I should do...they kept this a secret for 4 years from us!! Yet....they're still our friends....I just...want to know why!!"

....Kel looked at Hero worried but he continued talking.

"I hope your ok Mari....wherever you are...and I hope I can find out more about what really happened myself...farewell Mari...."
