Ngalu sat with Ronal, Tonowari, Aonung and Tsireya. They were having lunch. It was the fish they'd caught a few hours earlier. That was something they used to do a lot when they were younger. Not so much since the three of them grew up. 'Oh please Aonung, you couldn't have gotten that fish even if you had four hands.' Ngalu told him, laughing as the others joined in.

'That's what I'm saying, I almost had it!' He yelled.

'Aonung, please let it go.' Tsireya laughed, pleading him to stop talking about it. He'd been going on about it for the past hour. It was a large fish and he was right, he almost had it. And she'll give him that but still, leave it alone.

He shook his head, looking at his father to help him out. He was the one to actually see him with it in the first place. Tonowari looked startled, his eyes shifting to Ronal also begging him to tell him to stop talking about it. Then his eyes shifted to Aonung, begging him to come up for him. Then he looked at Tsireya and Ngalu who were shaking their heads. He gulped. 'Well, I didn't really see—'

Everybody grunted, looking away from Tonowari and making him chuckle a bit. 'You are useless.' Ronal snickered, holding onto his shoulder.

'Thank you, love.' He said, holding the hand on his shoulder.

Aonung gagged by the sight of it and Tsireya saw, already smirking. Knowing her, Ngalu knew for a fact that she was about to tease him about it. She made herself comfortable, already enjoying what was about to happen in front of her. 'Hey Aonung.' She smugly started, making Ngalu already bite her lip to prevent her from laughing. 'Don't you think it's time for you to finally find a mate? I mean I have my boyfriend and Ngalu has, well, Lo'ak. Why are you alone?' She asked him, making the whole pod silent. You would be able to hear a pin drop.

He gulped, staring at her. He shifted his eyes over to his parents pretending to look away but being extremely intrigued at the same time. 'I— I just—'

Ngalu's eyes grew bigger as she saw his face. 'You've met someone, haven't you?' She said, making him squirm as Tsireya squeaked like an Ilu.

'No!' He yelled, obviously lying.

'Oh my god, you have!' Ngalu yelled, pointing at him as she looked over at Ronal and Tonowari.

'Who is it?' Tsireya asked, leaning in to hear every detail. 'Please don't tell me it's Zuha, I hate that girl.' Tsireya already rolled her eyes at the thought of it. Ngalu looked surprised. That girl was all rainbows and butterflies, how could she hate someone? She doesn't hate anybody, she's the sweetest girl of the clan. Apparently Ngalu wasn't the only one looking at her with a puzzled expression, everybody else was confused as well. 'What?' She asked. 'She was flirting with Ohaye the other day with me standing right next to her. The audacity.' She shook her head, making Ngalu hold in a laugh.

'No, it's not her.' Aonung quickly said. He didn't want to hear her talk for hours about how much she hated this one girl.

Ngalu's head jolted to the side to meet his. 'So you admit there is someone!' She yelled.

'If you all stopped talking I might tell you who.' He said, raising his eyebrows.

Everybody was silent, staring at him. They were so eager to know who it was.

Aonung sighed, looking at them. 'It's Eyzeyr.' He said, already looking away to avoid their judgement.

'Rotxo's sister?' Tsireya yelled.

'Really?' Ngalu raised an eyebrow as she laughed. Rotxo would kill him if he found out. He was so protective of his little sister. She was so off limits it hurt. Every time a guy would come close to her, he'd scare them off immediately. 'You couldn't have picked anyone better, brother.' She said, smacking him on his back as she laughed.

'I know.' He grunted. 'Rotxo is going to bury me alive.' He smacked his hand on his forehead, shaking his head.

They all laughed until their stomachs hurt. Ngalu missed these moments a lot.

'Lo'ak, I will kill you. Don't think I wouldn't do it.' Ngalu stared at the boy in front of her holding up one of the feathers she was about to put in her hair. He had been annoying her this whole day already. She jumped up, trying to reach it. As she stood on her toes and reached up, Lo'ak grabbed her chin and put his lips on hers. He cheekily smiled against her lips, knowing she would give into him.

She played along, grabbing the back of his head as her other hand slid up to his back. Once he was distracted, she stomped on his foot. He let out a yelp before dropping the feather.

Ngalu quickly ducked down, picking it up. She smirked slyly at him, fiddling it between her fingers as she held it up. She was celebrating her small victory.

'You're going to regret that.' He said. Her eyes growing wide as she stared at him. It was quiet for a few seconds.

She decided to bolt away, laughing as he ran after her. 'You know I'll get to you eventually.' Lo'ak yelled, laughing as he already caught up to her. He jumped on top of her as she fell down in the shallow end of the water. He pinned her hands down. 'You know, I've been getting deja vu an awful lot lately.' Lo'ak smirked down at the helpless girl. She smiled while splashing some water in his face.

He smiled at her, his eyes turning soft. She bit her lip while she smiled brightly, putting a hand on his cheek. He leaned in and kissed her.

After he backed away again he flopped to the side, making water wash over Ngalu's face. 'Hey!' She yelled, sitting up again. 'I hate you.'

'I hate you too.' Lo'ak smiled.
