I wish you knew

I wish you knew,

how the poems I write are true.

That the battles about I write

I actually really fight.

I wish you knew,

about the problems I have.

I wish you could help me up,

step by step.

I wish you knew,

how deep down I fell.

How lonely and sad

I rot in hell.

I wish you knew,

the person I am.

I wish you knew,

what I become at 2am.

I wish you knew,

how much I hate myself.

I wish you saw the happy me

when I was twelve.

But I'm actually glad

that you don't.

'Cause I'mafraid if you did

you wouldn't hold on.

You'd distance yourself

away from me.

And my friend,

that's not the place I want you to be....
