Connections within the council

Senjiell and Ambren: Senjiell and Ambren had an affair with each other not long after they started working together. The rest of the council disapproved of mixing pleasure with work, but Senjiell and Ambren's performance didn't suffer from it, so they allowed it to continue. Details got out of their relationship, and it was spread across heaven as big gossip, and nicknamed the Ambrenjiell affair. The Ambrenjiell affair plays a critical role in Ambren’s future crimes.

Karnic and Ambren: Karnic was the one to take care of Ambren after Ambren was kicked out, and they formed a special bond. After Ambren's guardianship, he admits to Karnic that he thinks of him as a father, and Karnic returns the feelings, thinking of Abren as a son. Eventually, Karnic adopts Ambren, despite them both being thousands of years old. Ambren calls Karnic father, and they are not shy about how they feel to the other members of the council, often referring to each other with such terms (father, son, etc.)

Ambren and Jamie: Jamie was Ambren's guardian child, so Ambren is very fond of Jamie. He calls Jamie his son, even introducing him as such to the people he is close to. Jamie refers to Ambren as his father, as well calls him dad, and he very much thinks of him as a father figure.

Karnic and Jamie: Jamie started joking that Karnic was his grandfather, but as they grew closer, it became less of a joke. Jamie looks up to Karnic, and sees him as a role model. The two bond over stories of Ambren, and soon find they have more in common. Jamie starts calling Karnic Pépère, and it sticks, and becomes a common title for Jamie to use for Karnic. Karnic quite enjoys the name, and grows extremely fond of Jamie.
