•Canon(s): Backrooms original interpretation based off of the original backrooms concept or image. An example would be the entities canon where entities exist in the backrooms or an interpretation/canon where there's multiple levels. Another example would be the 'decay' canon. Basically like backrooms headcanons. Some canons can be considered umbrella-canons (just like umbrella terms). Not including concepts like the frontrooms, which is literally a universe that comes before the backrooms. Canons are only alterations/interpretations of the original backrooms, if you are looking for alternative universe specific canons, scroll down.
•Canonmix: Multiple canons mixed together to make one. An example would be the popular canon where the backrooms has multiple levels plus multiple entities.
•Sub-canons: A canon inside a canon. An example would be the only one entity sub canon that's apart of the entity canon.

•Alternative backrooms / alternative universes (AU or AB): An alternative backroom universe that takes the original concept of 'never ending rooms' or 'never ending places' and puts their own spin on them. An example would be the middlerooms or the siderooms. An alternative universe version of subcanons would be alternative subcanons.
•Same-name- alternative universes (SNAU): Alternative universes that have the same name but are different. An example would be someone creating 'the breadrooms' the backrooms but the walls are bread and then someone else makes an alternative universe also called the breadrooms but with a different concept, same name. SNAU are typically unrelated to each other and are not the result of plagiarism.
•Alternative universes canons (AUC): Same concept as 'canons' but with alternative universes.
•Alternative universes subcanons (AUS not AU'S): Same concept as 'subcanons' except for alternative universes.
•Alternative universes canonmix (AUCM): Same concept as 'canonmix' except for alternative universes.
•Noclipping: The act to travel from your current universe to the backrooms or an alternative universe.
•Sub-levels: Sub levels don't have enough characteristics to be an independent level. They are basically levels inside levels.

•Entity(ies): Creatures residing in the backrooms entity canon or any alternative universe. Not including humans or earthly animals (animals that noclipped into the backrooms).
•Travelers/wanderers: Humans that noclipped into the backrooms.
•MEG: An organization (inside the entity canon) that helps keep things in order inside the backrooms. Something like the military or FBI but inside the backrooms. MEG are friendly to travelers.
•Level(s): Different levels that reside inside the backrooms level canon and entity-level subcanon.
•Almond water: Almond flavour water that travelers can drink. This is an object inside the backrooms.
•The void: This is where the backrooms reside as well as the frontrooms and other universes plus canons, although this is just a theory. Not much is known about the void, we don't even know what it's true purpose is. Not to be confused with the level of the same name.

Writing this gave me an existential crisis and made me question things about our own universe.

Although I must mention that no wiki is technically official since the two creators of the backrooms haven't came out and said so. I say two because one uploaded the image and other added on with the story. Some of these terms you can't find anywhere online because they probably don't share the same name or people haven't thought of making their interpretations into terms. Common sense terms (like objects) aren't added in here.
