Garret Crosgrove is a painter who enjoys painting, he regularly goes to shops to solicit for work but does not get much work. Garret lives in the 60th decade of the 20th century on E-arth. He is rather slender for his species type due to his fast metabolism. He enjoys the Beatles as most other youths of his time do but also enjoys the music of Mozart. He believes in revolution.

Garret hears a knock on the door and asks who it is, he is answered by a voice so tiny that its almost imperceptible, he is answered by Anny, a philosophy major who enjoys the work of Dostoevsky, because of its intense psychological analysis of character archetypes in her own words. To the outside world, Anny is a Pizza girl that works to get some pocket money for LSD, a hip new drug that lets one transcend the bounds of the physical realm and engage with their inner self without the prejudice of the human will in her own words. She also enjoys the Beatles but since that is common place among her peers decided to enjoy the music of Debussy and the impressionist gang along with the blues of Scrapper Blackwell and Leadbelly. She enjoys long walks with some recreational drugs involved and men who listen to her ramblings about philosophy.

Garret opens the door and realizes his pizza has arrived, he looks at Anny and stares for an uncomfortably long period of time. Anny realizes she might have brought pizza for a rapist and torturer and speaks first, Your pizza, sir. Garret is dumbfound by how Anny manages to look so perfect in all ramifications. He musters up the courage to speak as normal humans do, You. Pizza person but fails. Anny equally realizes that hes too dumb to be a rapist or torturer and proceeds with less caution, Yes, me pizza give you, you money give me . Garret goes to get his wallet while regretfully knowing his mind will replay this scene instead of sleeping tonight. Anny feels saddened that Garret did not pick up on her joke and feels embarrassed as well for insulting his intelligence, she was used to that, insulting peoples intelligence without knowing it.

Garret looks at Anny again and doesnt want to leave their next meeting to chance, he decides that he must know her in some way. Anny, for the first time realizes the curvature of Garrets nose, he has a rather nice nose. She peeks into his apartment as he clumsily picks out a dollar from his wallet. He has paintings all around him, and they are so colorful that theyre distasteful. Garret notices her disgust and gives up on ever having her. He stares at her furtively for one last look at the perfect culmination of all his dreams embodied in one and gives her the dollar. Anny looks back quite crept out and notices his big eyes that looked like a black circular boat with a lone passenger floating in the boundless milk.
