Arkansas was unconscious and and the heart monitor continued beeping. Vestal was trying to work overtime and figure out a way to stabilize his wisdom cube. There was a way, it however came with a handicap, to stabilize the cube, she needed to get to it. And the problem was that Arkansas' health had deteriorated and she was unsure if he could even survive the operation.
Machine: Warning, Integrity Critical, 13.1%
Vestal was snapped out of her thinking by the integrity machine giving a warning. She needed to act quick if she wanted to save Arkansas. But unfortunately for her, a different deal was playing out.
Inside Arkansas' mind:
???: You have to accept our proposal now, nothing you can do will stop the METAmorphosis process.
Arkansas Alpha was sitting across from the unknown individual, he was thinking through the variables along with the other different Arkansas'. The entire mind scape had become dark, red lightning everywhere, a sign that the cube was about to break. If that happened, the last safe guards preventing Arkansas from becoming fully META would be lost, and a clinically insane META would happen.
Arkansas Beta: I feel like it is our only choice Alpha. The situation is spiraling way out of control.
Arkansas Epsilon: I would have to agree as well, our efforts to stabilize the cube have not worked.
Arkansas Alpha ponders the information but is broken out of it when the unknown person talks again.
???: This is the only way to complete your promise, just agree to our proposal.
Arkansas Alpha: I request something in exchange.
???: Oh, what's that?
Arkansas: This deal is solely between us and the Sirens. I do not want you roping in other ship girls, especially Eugen into this. If you do, we will break off this contract.
???: Ufufuf, fair enough, we'll honor your request.
Arkansas Alpha: Then we have a deal....
Arkansas Alpha: .... Observer Alpha.
Observer Alpha: Good. We are in agreement.
Observer Alpha vanishes away and Arkansas Alpha sits back into his chair, snickering a bit.
