New Girl

James Tewksbury' s POV

I stood there eyes rolling as my mother fussed over me.

Really, I'm not five anymore.

Actually I'm going back for my second last year at school. I can't wait to leave. There's a few reasons why. Firstly, Ms. Harrison the principle is a bitch. Secondly , I hate waking up early.

No I'm not lazy .

I tried to push my mother's hands away. The last thing I needed was for people to think I'm a baby.

" Mother , I should probably go in now. "

She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug.

Max Pugh and I stood there staring up at the ancient grandfather clock in the hall.

" Well what did you get up to over the break? Snog anyone? "

I hit him out of embarrassment.

" I did not snog anyone! "

" Suit yourself . I did . "

I raised my eyebrows. Since when did Max snog people? I had been best friends with him since we were 12 years old.

We meet in the very first day of school and we've been inseparable
ever since.

I was about to say something but he beat me to it .

" Don't bother asking I'm telling who. "

" Fine. "

I folded my arms.

" Jealous?? " he joked.

" No, " that was true I couldn't care less if he snogged anyone.

" You'll snog someone some day. "

" So sure?? "

" Yup. "

I sighed.

" Have you seen the new girl?? "

" New girl?? "

" Over with the scary one and the sunny one. "

" The one with Flo and Cecily? "

" Are those their names?? "

" We've been in their class since we were 12 years old. "

" You know I'm not good with names. "

I laughed .

I looked over to see a girl . She have flowing brown hair and porcelain skin . Bluntly speaking , she was quite pretty.

" Aww someone got a crush ? " Max said . I realised I had been staring.
